A support bracket is arranged inside a slit of an outer column and joined to the inner column so as to be able to detach due to an impact load applied to the inner column at the time of a secondary collision. A base portion of an impact absorbing member is attached to the inner column so as to displace together with the inner column when the inner column displaces toward the front, and a folded portion of the impact absorbing member is made to face a jerking portion of the support bracket in the front-rear direction.

Steering column device

A steering device includes a cylindrical inner column that supports an input shaft connected to a steering wheel so as to allow the input shaft to be rotatable, a cylindrical outer column into which at least a part of the inner column is inserted, and a cylindrical lower column that supports an output shaft connected to the input shaft so as to allow the output shaft to be rotatable and is supported by a dash panel. The lower column moves to a rear side at the time of a primary collision, and the inner column and the outer column move relative to each other at the time of a secondary collision.

Steering device

A steering device includes: an inner column having a first hole opened therein; an outer column having a slit; an outer column bracket clamping the outer column along with a telescopic friction plate; a rod supporting the telescopic friction plate; an inner column bracket supported by the telescopic friction plate and having a second hole opened therein; a shear pin separably connecting the inner column and the inner column bracket to each other at a position across the first hole and the second hole; and a rotation stopper provided at a rear side in relation to the rod and contacting the telescopic friction plate when the telescopic friction plate rotates about the rod in the event of a secondary collision.

A steering device which slides when an impulse load is applied. A steering device includes an inner column having a cylindrical shape and a first hole opened therein, an outer column having a cylindrical shape into which at least a part of the inner column is inserted and having a slit at one end thereof where the inner column is inserted, an outer column bracket to tighten the outer column along with a telescopic friction plate, an inner column bracket having a second hole opened therein and supported by the telescopic friction plate, a connection member that is a resinous member provided at a position straddling the first hole and the second hole and detachably connecting the inner column and the inner column bracket, and an inner plate that covers the inside of the first hole.

A steering device includes an inner column, an outer column, an outer column bracket, an inner column bracket, a shear pin, and a damper. A first hole is formed in the inner column. The outer column has a slit formed by notching one end. The outer column bracket tightens the outer column together with a telescopic friction plate. The inner column bracket is supported by the telescopic friction plate, and has a second hole. The shear pin detachably connects the inner column and the inner column bracket to each other at a position across the first hole and the second hole. The damper faces an internal end portion wall of the slit in an axial direction of the inner column.

A steering device includes a cylindrical inner column, a cylindrical outer column, a column bracket, a tilt bolt, a lock member attached to the outer periphery of the tilt bolt, a first fixing mechanism, and a second fixing mechanism. The first fixing mechanism clamps the outer column by a pressing bracket in response to the rotation of an operation lever. The second fixing mechanism urges the lock member to the inner column in the tilt direction in response to the rotation of the operation lever. When the inner column moves toward a front side of a vehicle body in a state where the first fixing mechanism and the second fixing mechanism are fixed, the lock member separates from the tilt bolt.

A steering device which contracts by an impulse load. The steering device includes a cylindrical inner column having a first hole opened therein, an outer column having a cylindrical shape into which at least a part of the inner column is inserted and having a slit at one insertion side end of the inner column, an outer column bracket fixed to a vehicle body side member to support the outer column and to tighten the outer column along with a telescopic friction plate, an inner column bracket having a second hole opened therein and supported by the telescopic friction plate, and a shear pin provided at a position straddling the first hole and the second hole and detachably connecting the inner column and the inner column bracket to each other.

The steering device includes an inner column having a cylindrical shape and a first hole opened therein, an outer column having a slit, an outer column bracket to tighten the outer column, an inner column bracket having a second hole opened therein, and a connection member provided at a position straddling the first hole and the second hole and detachably connecting the inner column and the inner column bracket. The telescopic friction plates are disposed at both sides of the outer column. The inner column bracket includes an arm portion connecting the telescopic friction plates disposed at both sides of the outer column, a neck portion projected from the arm portion, and a leg portion provided at an end opposite to the arm portion of the neck portion and contacting the inner column.

A steering device includes an inner column having a cylindrical shape, an outer column into which at least a part of the inner column is inserted, a column bracket tightening the outer column, a pressed portion provided on the outer periphery of the inner column, a first tightening mechanism tightening the outer column in response to a rotation of a manipulation lever, a second tightening mechanism biasing a lock member to the pressed portion in a tilt direction in response to the rotation of the manipulation lever, and a separation mechanism. The separation mechanism causes the inner column detachable by changing a relative position between the inner column and the pressing bracket, when the impulse load is applied in a state where the first tightening mechanism and the second tightening mechanism are in work.
