A side airbag includes a panel having a first left face and a first right face and folded along a fold line to form a chamber, another panel having a second left face and a second right face and folded to form a chamber, wherein the second left face has a left edge part joined to the first left face along a line from an upper edge part to a lower edge part of the first left face at a position closer to the fold line than to a left edge part of the first left face, and the second right face has a right edge part joined to the first right face along a line from an upper edge part to a lower edge part of the first right face at a position closer to the fold line than to a right edge part of the first right face.

A vehicle air bag system, which can facilitate confirmation of a state of an introduction part of an air bag housed in a cover, includes an air bag having an introduction part into which an inflator is inserted, and a general part that inflates and expands vertically downward in a vehicle interior. A cover houses the introduction part and the general part in parallel. An observation window is formed in the cover at a position corresponding to the introduction part.

A curtain airbag bracket mounts a curtain airbag having an attachment piece provided in an edge portion of the curtain airbag to a vehicle body. The curtain airbag bracket includes a vehicle body attaching portion for attaching the curtain airbag bracket to the vehicle body, and an airbag mounting portion for mounting the attachment piece. The airbag mounting portion has a bent portion or a curved portion extending from the vehicle body attaching portion toward an inside of the vehicle body.

A side collision airbag device includes an airbag to inflate and extend between a side wall portion of a vehicle and an occupant seated on a seat disposed in the vehicle. An inflator is connected to the airbag to spout a gas for inflating and extending the airbag from one side thereof in its longitudinal direction. A restricting member is attached for restricting a movement of the inflator toward the other side thereof in its longitudinal direction when the inflator is activated.

Side collision airbag device

A side-impact airbag is disposed in a space between a side wall portion of a vehicle and a seat. The side-impact airbag includes a plurality of chambers partitioned in the airbag, a communication passageway formed in a front region of the airbag in a front-and-back direction of the vehicle, and a tether disposed between two of the plurality of chambers located at a rear region of the airbag in the front-and-back direction. The communication passageway allows at least two of the plurality of chambers to communicate with each other at the front region. An inflator supplies the gas to expand the side-impact airbag. The gas from the inflator is lead toward the communication passage through one of the partitioned chambers.

A side airbag cover for holding a folded shape of a side airbag to be stored includes a first cover portion for covering a front inflation portion of the side airbag, the front inflation portion inflating and deploying substantially forward in a longitudinal direction of a vehicle; and a second cover portion for covering a lower inflation portion of the side airbag, the lower inflation portion inflating and deploying substantially downward.

A side-impact airbag is housed in a casing to be deployed between a side wall portion of a vehicle body and an occupant seated on a seat. The side-impact airbag includes an upper portion, and a lower portion situated below the upper portion. The upper and lower portions are folded opposite to each other in a width direction of the vehicle in housing in the casing.

A side airbag is disposed at a side of a seat of a vehicle and inflated with gas supplied from a gas generator. The side airbag includes a sub-bag disposed in a lower section of the side airbag to be inflated with the gas supplied from the gas generator, and an upper section of the side airbag is inflated with the gas from the sub-bag.
