An information processing apparatus which operates in an operation mode as either of a first mode and a second mode in which power consumption is lower than power consumption in the first mode, includes: a normal control unit; a delay filter configured to delay a mode signal by a delay time longer than a time required for a preparation processing by the normal control unit; a power saving shift unit configured to stop the normal control unit after termination of the preparation processing in a case where the mode signal indicates shifting to the second mod; and a return unit to release stop of the normal control unit in a case where at least one of the mode signal and the mode signal delayed indicates returning to the first mode.

A controller of an air-fuel-ratio sensor according to an embodiment includes a current supplying unit, a sweep processing unit, and an abnormality detecting unit. The current supplying unit supplies a current to the pump cell through a first terminal connected with the pump cell so as to control the pump cell. The sweep processing unit executes a sweeping process in which a predetermined voltage or a predetermined current is applied to the detection cell through a second terminal connected with the detection cell so as to change a voltage and a current of the detection cell. A controller of an air-fuel-ratio sensor includes a control unit, a voltage-abnormality detecting unit, and a short-circuit-abnormality detecting unit. The control unit controls a current and a voltage of a gas sensor element through a plurality of terminals connected with the gas sensor element. The voltage-abnormality detecting unit changes, when at least one of voltages of the plurality of terminals is out of a predetermined range, a voltage level of an output voltage. An eco-drive assist apparatus that displays a quantity of eco-drive that indicates a degree of ecology and/or economy in driving in a hybrid vehicle equipped with an engine and a motor, includes: a first part configured to calculate the quantity of eco-drive on the basis of a vehicle power generated in the vehicle; and a second part configured to cause the quantity of eco-drive to be displayed in a graphic manner as a relative quantity to an eco-drive judgment threshold value that indicates whether the vehicle is in an eco-drive state and to cause the quantity of eco-drive to be displayed in a graphic manner as a relative quantity to an engine startup threshold value that indicates whether the engine is started up. The first display change threshold value is the engine startup threshold value.

A method for investigating a cause of decrease in frequency of abnormality detections for a certain device mounted on a vehicle, wherein when a plurality of abnormality detection conditions are satisfied, the abnormality detection for the certain device is performed to determine if the certain device is in failure, the method includes (i) when the frequency of the abnormality detections is below a predetermined value, disabling one of the abnormality detection conditions; (ii) when the abnormality detection conditions except the disabled abnormality detection condition are satisfied, performing an abnormality detection for the certain device; (iii) repeating the step (ii) a plurality of times; and (iv) determining if the disabled abnormality detection condition at that time is the cause of the decrease in the frequency of the abnormality detections, based on frequency of the abnormality detections in the step (iii).
