An abnormality detection device includes a temperature detection unit that has a resistor section which varies a resistance value depending on a temperature, a resistance detection unit that detects a resistance value of the resistor section, and a short-circuit unit that short-circuits the resistor section, in which the short-circuit unit short-circuits the resistor section when a predetermined abnormality occurs in a detection target of the temperature detection unit.

A charge capacity parameter estimation system for an electric storage device capable of charging and discharging is provided, which can accurately estimate a charge capacity parameter indicative of a charge capacity of the electric storage device. The charge capacity parameter estimation system for a battery includes an ECU and a sensor unit. The ECU estimates that an actual charge capacity of the electric storage device is less than an estimated charge capacity, when a charging state of the electric storage device is detected, in a case where a generated voltage of a power generator is controlled such that the battery executes a discharging operation to an auxiliary equipment.

Charge capacity parameter estimation system of electric storage device

A data storage apparatus includes a sampling device for sampling data in a predetermined cycle, and a storage device for storing a plurality of items of the data sampled by said sampling device. Abnormality detection is conducted with respect to data indicative of operating state of an apparatus, the abnormality type is then discriminated and a check is made as to whether the data are already recorded in association with the discriminated abnormality type in a memory region corresponding to the data, and if not, the data are recorded in association with the discriminated abnormality type there. Since, multiple recording of similar data related to transient abnormalities and other such events that are likely to occur repeatedly can be prevented, important data related to a diversity of abnormalities and failures can be efficiently recorded in the memory. Viewed from another angle, this means that the capacity of the memory can be reduced and that a cost-reducing effect can be anticipated. In addition, data important for troubleshooting abnormalities and failures, most notably transition period data, can therefore be efficiently recorded in the memory.

Data recording system

An apparatus includes a linear solenoid valve regulating an oil pressure supplied to a clutch, a hydraulic switch being switched on and off upon receipt of a switching oil pressure, and a control unit controlling the actuation of the solenoid valve. A pressure-increased side signal oil pressure is detected which results when the hydraulic switch is switched on and off while a control signal is sent to the solenoid valve to increase a control oil pressure from a predetermined lower pressure to a predetermined higher pressure, and a pressure-decreased side signal oil pressure is detected which results when the hydraulic switch is switched on and off while the control signal is sent to decrease the control oil pressure from the predetermined higher pressure to the predetermined lower pressure. When a difference between these signal oil pressures exceeds an abnormalities determination value, it is determined that the solenoid valve is abnormal.

Apparatus and method for detecting abnormalities of a linear solenoid valve and a hydraulic device using the same linear solenoid valve

A system for controlling an automatic transmission mounted on a vehicle, including an automatic mode in which a gear is retrieved from predetermined gearshift characteristics by the detected vehicle speed and the engine load and a manual mode in which a gear is designated by a device manually operated by a vehicle driver. In the system, a temperature in an exhaust pipe of the vehicle is estimated based on the detecting operating conditions and the gear designated in the manual mode is corrected to upshift by one gear, if the estimated exhaust pipe temperature is found to exceed a predetermined temperature, thereby improving avoidance of the occurrence of excessive thermal load of components in the vicinity of the exhaust pipe, and that, by not conducting forced upshift until such time, fully exploits the features of the manual mode and, by this, makes the product more appealing to customers.

Control system for automatic vehicle transmission

It is an object of the present invention to provide a control system for an automatic transmission, which operates so that when slipping of drive wheels is generated at the starting of a vehicle on ice or the like, upshifting from a second gear shift stage to a third gear shift stag is prohibited. However, when the pseudo slipping state of the drive wheels is detected with the locking or unlocking of the drive wheels, the undesirable prohibition of the upshifting of the automatic transmission is avoided. A slip rate of a torque converter is determined on the basis of an engine revolution-speed (a torque converter input rotation-speed) and an automatic transmission input rotation-speed (a torque converter output rotation-speed). When the slip rate exceeds, for example, 102%, so that the driving force is transmitted from the drive wheels toward the engine, it is determined that the pseudo slipping state attendant to the locking or unlocking of the drive wheels has been detected, thereby canceling the prohibition of the upshifting of the automatic transmission.

Control system for automatic transmission for vehicle

A system for controlling an automatic transmission mounted on a vehicle, including a gear system and hydraulic clutches which hold a member of the gear system stationary to produce gear reduction or reverse to transmit engine output, and a linear solenoid valve provided in the oil line which generates an oil pressure to be supplied to hydraulic clutches in response to a current supplied thereto. In the system, the current supply is initiated when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position where the engine is not started, producing a noise due to the solenoid valve operation. In order to avoid this, the current is limited to a predetermined value when the engine is not started and the vehicle is stopped. Moreover, since the predetermined value is slightly above the current at which the clutch pressure begins to rise, the automatic transmission can start its operation quickly when the engine is started.
