A cooling device uses siphon circulation whose heat source is an object-to-be-cooled installed in a vehicle to circulate refrigerant to the object-to-be-cooled, the cooling device including: a tank that is disposed above the object-to-be-cooled and stores the refrigerant; an outflow path that opens to the inside of the tank and through which the refrigerant flows out; a passage member that extends from the inside to the outside of the tank, with an open end of an inside section of the passage member positioned inside the tank being positioned above an opening of the outflow path; and identifying means that is provided at an outside section of the passage member positioned outside the tank and by which the position of the open end inside the tank can be identified.

Cooling device

A transmission includes a fork mechanism in which a plurality of fork rods to which a plurality of shift forks are connected are each attached to a pedestal so as to be moveable in an axial direction. An assembly guide portion is disposed on the pedestal and a guide pin is erected on a clutch housing. As a result, even in cases where an input shaft and a main shaft, on which driving and driven gears and synchro devices are assembled, are assembled on the clutch housing in a state that the driving and driven gears are engaged and, thereafter the fork mechanism is assembled on this clutch housing, the assembly of the fork mechanism on the clutch housing can be easily performed.

A cooling pipe for an internal combustion engine includes with a resin-made water outlet for forming a circulation path for circulating a coolant for cooling an engine body, and an attachment part for retaining a water temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the coolant flowing through the water outlet, the attachment part being attached to the water outlet, a portion of the attachment part being in contact with the engine body, and the attachment part formed from a material whereby heat from the engine body is transmitted.

An upper oil pan of an engine includes a flange with an oil pan abutment surface that is fixedly coupled to a flange formed on a cylinder block. The oil pan abutment surface comprises a flat portion that is substantially parallel to a cylinder block abutment surface of the cylinder block, a slanted portion that is slanted with respect to the flat portion, and a vertical wall portion connecting the flat portion and the slanted portion. The vertical wall portion is formed substantially perpendicular to the flat portion. The cylinder block and the upper oil pan are fixedly coupled together via an interposed liquid gasket. Thus, the seal structure in which the liquid gasket is adequately cured is provided, and sufficient sealing properties can be obtained with a small amount of material used.

Seal structure

The fuel pump driving structure includes a camshaft and a pump cam member. The camshaft is rotatably supported at an end by a cylinder head. The pump cam member has a fitting hole into which the end of the camshaft is press fitted, and is operatively coupled to a high-pressure fuel pump. The pump cam member includes a pump cam section and a first contact section. The pump cam section has a first lift portion operating the high-pressure fuel pump, and a base circular portion that does not operate the high-pressure fuel pump. The first contact section is in a position offset from a position of the first lift portion with respect to a circumferential direction and contacting a portion of the camshaft in an axial direction at a position radially outward of an external circumferential surface of the one end of the camshaft.

Fuel pump driving structure and internal combustion engine

A transmission shift fork engages with a coupling sleeve of a synchronizer and shifting the coupling sleeve. The transmission shift fork includes a first part, second part, and at least one fin. The first part is arranged to movably mount the transmission shift fork in a shift fork movement direction. The second part includes a coupling sleeve facing surface, an outwardly facing surface, and a pair of shift-direction facing surfaces. The coupling sleeve facing surface includes at least one coupling sleeve engagement part arranged to engage with an engaging groove formed on an external circumferential surface of the coupling sleeve. The outwardly facing surface includes an oil catch disposed in a position with respect to the coupling sleeve engagement part such that the oil catch captures lubricating oil and supplies to the coupling sleeve engagement part. The fin projects from inside an oil receiving recess defined by the oil catch.

Transmission shift fork

Cooling water passage structure of internal combustion engines

A cooling system for an internal combustion engine in which bubbles are not transferred to the water pump, and thereby the efficiency of the water pump is maintained. The interior of a water outlet mounted on a cylinder head is divided by a partition wall to form a feeding chamber to feed the coolant introduced from the cylinder head to a first path provided with a radiator, and a receiving chamber forming a second path to receive the coolant returned from a heater core. Between the receiving chamber and the feeding chamber is a channel making one or both chambers communicate with the other. As a result, bubbles in the coolant running through the second path are introduced into the feeding chamber through the channel and removed from the radiator.

Coolant distributing means for an internal combustion engine

Flywheel

An oil pan for internal combustion engine which is lightweight and has improved stiffness and vibration suppression, achieved by reducing the number of components. The oil pan includes an upper portion to be attached to the bottom portion of a cylinder block directly or through an adaptor plate and a lower portion provided on the bottom of the upper portion, with a baffle plate formed integrally downward of the upper portion. An oil supplying means which sucks the oil accumulated in the lower portion and supplies the sucked oil to portions of the internal combustion engine is provided.

Oil pan for internal combustion engine

An oil level gauge guide structure including an oil level gauge for measuring engine oil of a vehicle. An oil level gauge is held in an oil level gauge guide. A clip is provided having a first end section held to a resinous part fixed to an engine main body, and a second end section held to the oil level gauge guide. The oil level gauge is provided with two linear stoppers contactable with the second end section of the clip, and an O-ring fixed on an end section of the oil level gauge guide. The end section of the oil level gauge guide is inserted into the communication hole in a first direction, while the first end section of the clip is pressed to the resinous part in a second direction. The first and second directions are parallel with each other.

Oil level gauge guide structure

The oil pan includes an oil introducing portion that has an oil introducing plate. The oil introducing plate has an insertion hole for receiving a sucking portion of an oil strainer. The oil introducing plate extends from the periphery of the insertion hole toward a side wall of the oil pan. The oil returned from the first oil return passage is introduced to flow along the oil introducing plate via an oil falling hole formed in a baffle plate that is positioned at the bottom of a crank case of the internal combustion engine. The oil introducing portion further includes a plurality of inclined wall portions mounted on a bottom portion of the oil pan in the vicinity of the side wall of the oil pan in order to support the oil introducing plate. Opening portions are formed between the inclined wall portions and the bottom portion of the oil pan. The oil introducing plate of the oil introducing portion is located just below the oil falling hole formed in said baffle plate.

Installation structure of intake manifold

A cylinder block structure with a small number of ribs is provided which can favorably prevent the deformation of a crankshaft bearing portion. In a cylinder block having bolt holes formed on the upper surface for connecting a cylinder head with bolts, arcshaped coupling surfaces formed on the rear end surface for mounting a housing, such as a transmission housing, and a crankshaft bearing portion formed in the central part between the lower ends of the coupling surfaces, the upper parts of the coupling surfacesare joined into an arch-shape by an arch-shaped rib, the lower ends of right and left bosses are extended and connected to the lower parts of the arch-shaped rib, and right and left main radial ribs extend from the outside of the lower end of the bolt hole boss to the center of the crankshaft bearing portion.

Cylinder block structure

A crankcase emission control device of an internal combustion engine comprises a gas/liquid separator that separates an oil mist from blow-by gases flowing therethrough. A first passage is defined in both a crankcase and a cylinder head to connect an interior of the crankcase to a valve rocker cover chamber defined by the cylinder head. A second passage extends from the valve rocker cover chamber to the gas/liquid separator. A third passage extends from the gas/liquid separator to an intake system of the engine. For reducing the height of the entire construction of the engine, the gas/liquid separator is integrally formed by the cylinder head at a position below intake ports of the cylinder head.
