A continuous preform device for a composite stringer continuously preforms the composite stringer having three-dimensional curved surfaces in an efficient manner, the continuous preform device including a dispenser deviceadapted to supply a prepreg laminate to a next process by sandwiching upper and lower faces of the prepreg laminate with carrier films, a section preform deviceadapted to form the prepreg laminate sandwiched between the carrier films into a desired cross-sectional shape during passage, a press/puller deviceadapted to apply a pressing process to the prepreg laminate and intermittently feed a composite downstream, and a curing mold forming deviceadapted to preform the prepreg laminate into a desired stringer shape on a curing mold, which are placed in a straight line from upstream to downstream.

Continuous preform device for composite stringer

There is provided a continuous molding method capable of varying a thickness of a prepreg molded article. A molding materialis prepared such that three plies, for example, of prepregare laminated with different end face positions on each face of a prepreg laminateof a carbon fibre or the like, and prepreg peel pliesare arranged continuously to the respective plies of the prepreg. This molding materialis transformed into a sheet and continuously sent out to a hot press for molding, which is then heated in a post-curing oven for a prescribed period of time for thermosetting. After the molding, the prepreg peel plyis peeled and removed so that a product whose sectional thickness varies can be obtained.

Continuous molding method of composite material having stepwise sectional thickness

A tank has an opening through which enters a molded material P , which is the object of inspection, and water W is filled within the tank . One side wall of said tank is equipped with the plurality of ultrasonic search units . On the other side wall of said tank is mounted a reflector plate opposing to said ultrasonic search units . The reflection surface of said reflector plate is positioned away from the surface of an object portion P by a predetermined distance D . The ultrasonic waves generated from the search units are reflected, and the reflected waves are transduced into electric signals, and the signals are compared with the signals received from the solid portion, so as to detect flaw.
