An image forming device, includes: a transfer unit that transfers a toner image onto a recording medium being conveyed; a main heating unit that is disposed at a downstream side of the transfer unit in a conveyance direction of the recording medium, heats the recording medium in contact with the recording medium, and fixes the toner image to the recording medium; a reversing unit that reverses front and back of the recording medium having the toner image fixed on a first surface of the recording medium by the main heating unit, and sends the recording medium to the transfer unit; a preheating unit that is arranged between the transfer unit and the main heating unit in the conveyance direction of the recording medium and heats the recording medium in a non-contact state, the preheating unit being configured to heat the recording medium so that, when the recording medium that is sent to the transfer unit by the reversing unit and on which the toner image is transferred to a second surface is heated, a temperature of the first surface of the recording medium is higher than a softening point of a toner before the recording medium is heated by the main heating unit; and a non-contact unit that brings a toner image forming region on the first surface of the recording medium on which the toner image is transferred onto the second surface and a member other than the recording medium between the preheating unit and the main heating unit in a non-contact state.

A fixing device includes: a holding part that extends in a width direction of a recording medium being transported and that holds the recording medium; a pair of circulating parts that are attached to both ends of the holding part and that circulate to transport the recording medium; and a heating member that heats the recording medium in a non-contact manner and that is located in a space between the pair of circulating parts in the width direction.

An image forming device includes a transfer unit that transfers a toner image onto a recording medium that has first and second surfaces and is conveyed in a conveyance direction; a main heating unit arranged downstream of the transfer unit in the conveyance direction, and which contacts and heats the recording medium and fixes the toner image onto the recording medium; a reversing unit that reverses front and back of the recording medium having a first toner image fixed onto the first surface; and a preheating unit arranged between the transfer and main heating units in the conveyance direction and that heats the recording medium having a second toner image transferred onto the second surface. A fixing device includes: a preheating unit configured to heat a recording medium above the recording medium in a non-contact state with the recording medium, the recording medium being held at a leading end of the recording medium having a recording surface on which an image is transferred, the recording medium being transported such that the recording surface faces upward; a blowing unit disposed on a side opposite to the preheating unit with respect to the recording medium and configured to blow air onto the recording medium below the recording medium; a main heating unit disposed on a downstream side of the preheating unit in a transport direction of the recording medium and configured to contact the recording medium to heat the recording medium; a detection unit disposed on an upstream side of the preheating unit in the transport direction and configured to detect a transport posture of the recording medium; and a control unit configured to control the blowing unit based on a detection result of the detection unit to adjust an amount of air to be blown to the recording medium.

A transport device includes a first belt member, a second belt member, a first roller, a second roller, a third roller, a fourth roller, a fifth roller, and a sixth roller. The second belt member is in contact with the first belt member to form a contact portion in cooperation with the first belt member. The first roller is capable of adjusting a tilt in a longitudinal direction of the first roller. The second roller is capable of adjusting a tilt in a longitudinal direction of the second roller. The third and fourth rollers are located adjacent to the first roller. The fifth and sixth rollers are located adjacent to the second roller.
