An absorbance detector for a chromatograph includes a light source, a flow cell that receives light generated by the light source, a photodetector that detects light transmitted through the flow cell, a light shield member that shields at least part of the light generated from the light source to the flow cell, a motor that rotates the light shield member to change the light shield member between a light-shielding state where the light shield member shields at least part of the light generated from the light source to the flow cell and a non-light-shielding state where the light shield member does not shield the light generated from the light source to the flow cell, and a reference position detector that rotates the motor and also acquires a change in amount of light received by the photodetector to detect a reference position of the light shield member in a rotation direction of the light shield member based on the acquired change in the amount of the received light.

Absorbance detector for chromatograph and reference position detection method

A detector includes a light source configured to emit measurement light, a flow cell incorporating a cell channel through which a sample solution flows inside, a photodetector configured to detect light from the flow cell, an optical system configured to guide light from the light source to the flow cell and guide light from the flow cell to the photodetector, and a flow cell accommodating part configured to cover the flow cell so as to spatially separate the flow cell from the optical system. Of the side surfaces of the flow cell accommodating part, the side surfaces facing the light incident surface and the light exit surface of the flow cell are formed from wall surfaces made of a light transmissive material, or sealed by a light transmissive plate material.

Liquid chromatography detector

A flow cell includes a cell into which a liquid to be measured is introduced and is arranged so that a measurement light to be used for measuring an optical characteristic of the liquid enters one side of the cell and exits from the other side of the cell, an inlet for leading the liquid to flow into the cell, and an outlet for leading the liquid in the cell to flow out from the cell. The inlet and the outlet are provided to form an interface between a liquid flowing into the cell through the inlet and a liquid with which the cell has been already filled at two places on an optical path of the measurement light passing through the cell.

Flow cell and detector equipped with the flow cell

The purpose is to reduce the influence on the measurement due to high order diffracted light without arranging a filter for removing high order diffracted light between a diffraction grating and a PDA. The correction method includes a correction coefficient determination step of determining a correction coefficient related to a ratio of a portion of a detection signal value to the detection signal value, the portion of the detection signal value being derived from a second order diffracted light of light in the first wavelength range contained in the detection signal value of a long wavelength side photodiode for detecting light in the second wavelength range in the photodiode array, and a correction unit configured to obtain a corrected detection signal value derived from light in the second wavelength range from a different detection signal value of the long wavelength side photodiode by using the correction coefficient determined by the correction coefficient determination step.

Correction method of detection signal value in spectrophotometer and spectrophotometer having correction function of detection signal value

A spectroscopic detector includes a lamp house, a sample cell, an optical sensor, a heater, a cooling fan, a temperature sensor, and a control device. The heater heats the lamp house while being directly or indirectly in contact with the lamp house containing a light source. The cooling fan is for cooling the lamp house. The temperature sensor is for detecting a temperature of the lamp house. The control device is configured to control operations of the light source, the heater, and the cooling fan. The control device includes a temperature control part configured to maintain a temperature of the lamp house while the light source is lit at a set temperature by controlling at least output of the heater based on a detection signal of the temperature sensor.

Spectroscopic detector

Provided is a spectrophotometer having a positional relationship between the spectroscope and a PDA that is set to have a distance between a reflection position of light reflected on a light receiving surface of a corresponding one of PDs constituting the PDA, being configured to receive at least light having a wavelength of from 200 nm to 300 nm, and an incident position at which light reflected at the reflection position is incident on a light receiving surface of the PDA after being re-reflected on the protective plate, the distance being equal to or less than a width dimension of any one of the PDs constituting the PDA.

Provided is an analytical measurement device systemhaving a plurality of units (liquid-sending pump; detector) including: a sensor (flow sensor; light amount detector) provided in at least one unit among the plurality of units, for detecting the condition of a specific portion of the unit; a determination section (flow rate determiner; light amount determiner) provided in the unit, for receiving a signal from the sensor and for determining an overall condition of the unit based on a predetermined determination criterion; a storage section (flow-rate determination information storage section; light-amount determination information section) provided in the unit, for storing the determination criterion and a result of the determination by the determination section; and a display section (flow-rate determination result display section; light-amount determination result display section) provided in the unit, for displaying the determination result.

Analytical measurement device system

A flow cell includes a housing, a window member, and a pressing member. The housing includes a cell channel in which a sample flows through, has, on at least one end side of the cell channel, an opening communicating with the cell channel, and has a flat surface at an edge of the opening. The window member has a lens portion at a central portion and a peripheral edge portion whose one surface and the other surface are flat. In the window member, one surface of the peripheral edge portion is provided facing the flat surface of the housing so as to seal the opening.

Flow cell

A degassing deviceincludes: a built-in absorbance measurement sectionusing an LED light source and measuring the intensity of light transmitted through a mobile phase passing through a flow cell; and a solenoid valveswitchable between two states with and without the mobile phase passed through a degassing tube. The passage-switching operation by the solenoid valve is performed so as to obtain detection signals of the transmitted light in the absorbance measurement section when the mobile phase drawn from a mobile phase container by a liquid-feeding pumpis passed through the degassing tube for degassing as well as when the mobile phase is not passed through the degassing tube for degassing. A signal processorcalculates the difference in absorbance based on those detection signals, estimates the degree of degassing based on that difference, and displays the result on a display unit

Degassing device

Provided is an optical analyzer for performing a feedback control on the amount of light emitted from an LED as a light source, in which the configuration of an optical system is made simple and the degree of freedom in optical system arrangement is secured. An optical memberfor focusing most of light while discharging part of the light as unfocused light is provided on an optical path from a light casting unitto a sample cell. The optical membercan be achieved with a simple configuration, for example, two ball lenses spaced apart by a predetermined distance from each other. The light focused by the optical memberis cast as measurement light into the sample cell. Meanwhile, a second photodetectoris arranged at a position where the unfocused light reaches. The second photodetectorgenerates a detection signal in accordance with the amount of light that has entered the second photodetectoras monitored light, and a drive current to be supplied to an LED is controlled through a drive current controlling unitand a current sourcesuch that the amount of light is maintained at a fixed level.

Optical analyzer

A heat insulating memberis provided on the outer circumference of a connection pipe. The heat insulating memberincludes: a tube; and an air layerbetween the connection pipeand the tube. Accordingly, it is possible to always keep the temperature of a sample component at the time of detection by a detector constant and thus prevent an influence of the temperature on an output result of the detector, in a low flow rate analysis using a modularized column unit and a modularized detection unit.
