The present invention provides a toothed belt transmission that reduces noise and vibration resulting from the engagement between a toothed belt and a toothed pulley, and that improves the durability of the toothed belt. The toothed belt transmission in which a tooth height of a toothed belt and a tooth height of a toothed pulley are set so that when the toothed belt and the toothed pulley start engaging with each other, tooth tip parts of the toothed belt and tooth bottom parts of the toothed pulley contact each other before tooth bottom parts of the toothed belt and tooth tip parts of the toothed pulley contact each other.

Toothed belt transmission

A toothed belt is provided that has excellent environment resistance, high load resistance, high stiffness, and achieves high accuracy, light weight, compactness and low noise. A toothed belt is provided with a belt body including a plurality of core wires juxtaposed in the width direction of a rubber portion, a plurality of tooth rubber portions formed on one surface of the belt body, and a tooth cloth covering the surface of the tooth rubber portions. The rubber portion contains dioctyl sebacate and trimellitic acid ester in a mass part ratio of 1:19 to 1:1, the mass percentage of the dioctyl sebacate to the whole quantity of the rubber portion is less than 4 mass %, and the mass percentage of the total quantity of the dioctyl sebacate and the trimellitic acid ester to the whole quantity of the rubber portion is in a range from 4 mass % to 8 mass %.

Toothed belt

There is provided a pulley for use with a toothed belt capable of reducing the noise generated when the pulley engages with the toothed belt, while reducing the manufacturing costs and time used to manufacture the pulley. The pulley includes a disk whose inner circumference is fitly attached to a rotary shaft. The outer circumference of the pulley has teeth to be engaged with the toothed belt and flanges erected on both sides of the tooth, wherein the flanges have a plurality of through holes that penetrate through the flanges in a direction of the rotary shaft.

Pulley for use with toothed belt

A toothed belt having a treated light-colored tooth cloth comprised of a first layer in which rubber is impregnated in an original canvas, a second rubber layer formed on a surface side of the first layer, and a third rubber layer formed on the back side of the first layer and adhered to the belt body rubber layer. The rubber of the first layer may be obtained by formulating polytetrafluoroethylene, phenol resin, titanium oxide, a potassium titanate fiber and zinc methacrylate in a mixture obtained by formulating a hydrogenated nitrile rubber and a polymer alloy in which zinc methacrylate is finely distributed in the hydrogenated nitrile rubber in a range of parts by weight of 95:5 to 60:40.

A toothed belt particularly suitable for use in general industrial machineries includes a cured rubber belt body, a tensile member embedded in the belt body, and a tooth fabric adhered to the surface of teeth of the belt body. The belt body is formed primarily from a vulcanizable rubber composition containing hydrogenated nitrile rubber and zinc polymethacrylate. The zinc polymethacrylate and the hydrogenated nitrile rubber are blended together in a ratio of from 22:78 to 45:55 parts by weight. To the vulcanizable rubber composition, a vulcanizing agent comprised of peroxide and a reinforcer comprised of carbon black are added, and a mixture is vulcanized and pressed or otherwise molded to form the afore-said cured rubber belt body with the tensile member embedded therein. The tensile member is made of high-strength glass fibers. The glass fibers preferably have a resorcin-formalin-latex layer and an overcoat layer both formed thereon.

A toothed belt includes a back rubber in which is embedded a tensile body, and toothed rubber, wherein a toothed sheet is glued on an exposed toothed surface of the toothed rubber. The back rubber and the toothed rubber are formed such that a rubber composition, which compounds partial hydrogenated nitrile rubber with iodine having a value of from 12 to 20, a sulfur-based crosslinking agent and a vulcanization accelerator, is cured and molded, wherein a vulcanization accelerator is compounded in a specified ratio of tellurium dithiocarbamate compound, zinc dithiocarbamate compound, tetramethylthiuram disulfide and tetraethylthiuram disulfide.

A toothed belt includes a rubber composition-molded cured material, a tensile body embedded therewithin, and a tooth sheet. The rubber composition-molded cured material includes 0.38 to 0.91 g of organic peroxide, based on --O--O-linkage amount, to 100 g of a polymer composition in which zinc polymethacrylate and hydrogenated nitrile rubber with hydrogenation rate of 90 to 95% are compounded in the weight ratio of from 4:96 to 20:80, 0.5 to 2.0 g of more than one higher organic acid esters, 0.5 to 2.0 g of maleimide compound, and 20 to 40 g of calcium carbonate.

An improved wear resistant toothed belt for enhancing the service life of such belt against chipping of the teeth of such belt such toothed belt having stretching members disposed at the center portion thereof, a tooth portion and a back portion, the tooth surface of the tooth portion being covered with a tooth cloth impregnated with an RFL solution and further impregnated with a rubber paste, the rubber paste containing carbon in an amount of 10 phr or less relative to polymer, the amount of solid content of the RFL solution stuck on the tooth cloth being in the range of 3 to 20 wt % relative to the weight of the tooth cloth, and the amount of the solid content of the rubber paste stuck on the tooth cloth is in the range of from 6 to 18 wt % relative to the weight of the tooth cloth.
