In an electronic component feeding apparatus for feeding components with use of a taping component, a brushless motor is used as a drive motor in a tape sending mechanism that transports the taping component so as to improve productivity in an electronic component mounting apparatus equipped with the electronic component feeding apparatus. Also, an electronic component feeding apparatus is provided with a control part that automatically executes initial processing such as sending of the taping component, as well as detects and reports a sending failure of the taping component when the electronic component feeding apparatus is installed in the electronic component mounting apparatus, which makes it possible to provide an electronic component feeding apparatus enabling easy and prompt detection of the sending failure of the taping component.

A rotary device has thereinside a driving device as a driving source for rotating a rotary block and opening and closing a shutter, and also includes a rod for transmitting a driving force to the rotary block and the shutter, a lever and a shaft for directly transmitting the driving force to the shutter, a spring for delaying a timing to open the shutter after the rotary block rises, a spring receiver for receiving the spring, and a joint for connecting the rod with the rotary block.

Also, a component transfer unit (,) which is located at the lateral side of the first feed table and moves so that the component transfer unit can be positioned in the right-left direction, thereby receiving components from the component feed cassettes on the second feed table and sending the components forward.

A sub control panel for use in maintenance work has a control switch, enable switches and manipulation prohibition members. Part supply apparatus

Disclosed is an apparatus for holding an electronic part including a rod coupled to a part-absorbing nozzle at one end thereof and coupled to a vacuum device at the other end portion thereof, the rod being axially movable. Also included is a sleeve member movable along the axis of the rod in response to the movement thereof. A pair of chucking jaws for chucking the electronic part are coupled through a transmission mechanism to the sleeve member. The transmission mechanism comprises a pair of curved levers each providing a connection between the chucking jaws and the sleeve member and a pair of guide members which are respectively engaged with the pair of chucking jaws and radially extend at right angles to the axis of the rod, and is arranged to allow the pair of chucking jaws to be moved at right angles to the axis of the rod member in opposite directions to each other in response to the movement of the sleeve member. The arrangement to move the chucking jaws at right angles with respect to the axis of the rod enables the electronic part to be accurately chucked by the chucking jaws irrespective of the variations of the size and configuration of the electronic part.
