The invention provides a process by which rare earth metal ions can be efficiently extracted by easy operation, and effective extracting reagents for the process. Specifically, phosphonamides represented by the general formula [1]; a process for producing the same; reagents for extracting rare earth metal ions, containing the phosphonamides; and a process for extraction of rare earth metal ions with the phosphonamides: [1] wherein Ris alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, aralkyl, or a heterocyclic group, with the proviso that each group may be substituted; Ris hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, aryl, aralkyl, or a heterocyclic group, with the proviso that each group may be substituted; Ris hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, aryl, aralkyl, or a heterocyclic group, with the proviso that each group may be substituted, or the two Rs may be united to form alkylene, cycloalkylene, or arylene. 

Phosphonamides, process for producing the same, and use thereof

A process for producing a 1,2-diol through the reaction of an olefin with hydrogen peroxide. The process is highly efficient and highly selective and catalyst recovery and reuse are easy. It does not use any strong acid or strong base causative of apparatus corrosion. The process for producing a 1,2-diol is characterized by reacting an olefin with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a polymer having a sulfo group.

The present invention relates to a new manufacturing method for phosphonate esters, which have utility as a carbon-carbon binding formation agent, as well as a synthesis intermediate for biologically active substances such as medical drugs and agri-chemicals. Specifically the present invention relates to a new industrially advantageous manufacturing method for phosphonate esters in which the phosphonate esters of the subject can be efficiently obtained with a high yield rate through a simple operation while having barely any side reaction or sub-product. More specifically, the present invention pertains to a manufacturing method for phosphonate esters in which secondary phosphonate esters and alkene compounds are reacted in a transition metal catalyst. In addition the present invention relates to a new manufacturing method for allylphosphonate esters in which secondary cyclic phosphonate esters and 1,3-diene compounds are reacted in a palladium catalyst.

Method for manufacturing phosphonate esters

A novel process for preparation of alkenylphosphine oxides or alkenylphosphinic acid esters provided by which the objective compounds can be easily, safely and efficiently synthesized and easily separated and purified with little formation of by-products. Specifically, a process of conducting the addition reaction of an easily available secondary phosphine oxide or hydrogen phosphinic acid ester with an acetylene compound with a catalyst containing a Group 9 or 10 metal of the periodic table to thereby obtain the corresponding alkenylphosphine oxide or alkenylphosphinic acid ester.

Alkenylphosphonic ester and preparation process thereof

A polymer containing in the backbone a 9-oxo-9-phosphafluorene-2,7-diyl skeleton or a combination of the skeleton with a vinylene skeleton or arylene skeleton. The polymer is utilizable as, e.g., a component of a luminescent element or electrochromic element. The polymer is obtained by subjecting a 2,7-dihalo-9-oxo-9-phosphafluorene to polycondensation with dehalogenation, or to reaction with arylenebisboronic acid and polycondensation, or to polycondensation with an olefin.

A polysilane is produced by subjecting a trihydrosilane to hydrogenative condensation in the presence of a titanium or zirconim complex catalyst having a first group selected from a dialkylaminoalkylcyclopentadienyl group, an &agr;-&lsqb;(dialkylamino)alkyl&rsqb;indenyl group and a &bgr;-&lsqb;(dialkylamino)alkyl&rsqb;indenyl group and a second group selected from a cyclopentadienyl group and a pentamethylcyclopentadienyl group. The above dialkylaminoalkyl group may be replaced by a branched alkyl group. The zirconium complexes are novel compounds.

A polysilane is produced by subjecting a trihydrosilane to hydrogenative condensation in the presence of a titanium or zirconim complex catalyst having a first group selected from a dialkylaminoalkylcyclopentadienyl group, an .alpha.-[(dialkylamino)alkyl]indenyl group and a .beta.-[(dialkylamino)alkyl]indenyl group and a second group selected from a cyclopentadienyl group and a pentamethylcyclopentadienyl group. The above dialkylaminoalkyl group may be replaced by a branched alkyl group. The zirconium complexes are novel compounds.

There is disclosed a method of preparing cyclic silyl enol ethers (1-oxa-2-sila-5-cyclohexenes), comprising reacting a silacyclobutane with an acid halide in the presence of a palladium catalyst and an organic base. There is also disclosed novel cyclic silyl enol ethers obtained by the above method. The above cyclic silyl enol ethers belong to a new class of silyl enol ethers which are useful in the production of medicines and agricultural chemicals, and they can be used as intermediates of fine chemicals or as various reagents for fine synthesis.

Cyclic silyl enol ethers and method of preparing the same

A highly heat-resistant crosslinked polymer is prepared by subjecting an organic-inorganic hybrid polymer consisting of the repeating monomeric units of the formula ##STR1## in which A is a divalent hydrocarbon group such as phenylene group, to an oxidative crosslinking reaction by heating in air at 50.degree. to 400.degree. C.
