An endoscope includes: an endoscope operation unit; an insertion observation unit that extends forward from the endoscope operation unit in a longitudinal direction; and a protective cap that covers the insertion observation unit and is detachably attached to the endoscope operation unit. The protective cap includes a color index portion that adjusts white balance. The color index portion is disposed inside the protective cap at a position facing a tip of the insertion observation unit, and the color index portion includes a curved surface in a sectional view in the longitudinal direction of the insertion observation unit.

An object of the present invention is to provide a planar type antenna unit and a planar type wireless device capable of reducing a projecting area of the wireless device. Antenna unit and planar wireless device

An antenna () in accordance with the present invention includes a ground plate () and an antenna element () provided on an identical plane or on different planes parallel to each other, and is suitable for use in a wireless tag (). The antenna () in accordance with the present invention further includes a shortening capacitor () that bridges the ground plate () and an end part (B) of the antenna element (), the end part (B) being opposite to the power feed-side end part.

The present invention relates to a submount on which at least one optical component is mounted. The submount has a mounted portion that is mounted onto a substrate or base, and a protruding portion that protrudes out from the substrate or the base when the mounted portion is mounted to the substrate or base. The gripped portion is formed to enable gripping thereof. Wiring, to enable active alignment, is provided to the gripped portion, and active alignment can be carried out by powering up the optical component mounted on the submount.
