A film for a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is a film for a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, including a non-pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one surface of a plastic film, where the non-pressure-sensitive adhesive layer includes a mixed layer of a silicone and a (meth)acrylic polymer; and the (meth)acrylic polymer has a calculated Tg of 10&#xb0; C. or more.

Provided is a PSA sheet comprising a PVC film (support) provided with PSA layer formed of an aqueous dispersion-type PSA composition, which exhibits a smooth unwinding motion. The PVC film can be obtained by molding a PVC composition comprising PVC and a metal soap. The metal soap comprises an alkali earth metal soap and zinc soap. At least part of the alkali earth metal soap is a stearate and at least part of the zinc soap is zinc laurate.

An aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of the invention comprises a rubber-based latex and a tackifier resin emulsion, wherein the tackifier resin emulsion is that obtained by emulsifying a tackifier resin in the presence of an emulsifier containing an ammonium salt of rosins; and the aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition contains a water-soluble salt of casein as protective colloid. The aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is excellent in mechanical stability and insulating characteristics and has good moisture-proof adhesive strength.

The base material for pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet is constituted of a polyolefin based resin as the major component and is obtained by rolling by means of a calender having a measure capable of individually changing the rotational speed of each calender roll. Examples of the measure capable of individually changing the rotational speed of each calender roll include a measure provided with motors capable of individually driving their respective calender rolls and a measure provided with speed regulators capable of individually regulating their respective calender rolls. It may be employed that the number of calender rolls is four and that the roll arrangement is in the reverse L shape. It is preferable that the base material for pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet contains an inorganic compound together with the polyolefin based resin.
