A battery including power generation units each including a positive electrode layer, a separator layer, and a negative electrode layer. The area of either one of the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer is larger than the area of the other one of the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer. The power generation units each has a non-facing region. In the non-facing region, a first penetration portion is placed. The power generation units provided as the pair are stacked along the thickness direction via a first current collector including a second penetration portion corresponding to the first penetration portions. In the power generation units provided as the pair, two separator layers facing each other are fixed by a first fixing portion positioned in the first penetration portion and the second penetration portion.

Battery

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery disclosed herein includes a non-aqueous electrolyte and a stacked electrode body including a cell unit, the cell unit including a first electrode, a first separator, a second electrode, and a second separator. The first electrode has a first active material layer. The second electrode has a second active material layer. The first active material layer has a facing region facing the second active material layer at the central part thereof, and has a non-facing region not facing the second active material layer at the outer periphery thereof. The non-facing regions at a pair of opposite ends of the first active material layer each have a through hole. The first separator and the second separator are folded toward the second electrode side outside the non-facing region having a through hole. The first separator and the second separator are joined in a through hole.

Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery

An all-solid-state battery manufacturing apparatus disclosed herein includes a transport apparatus, a press roller, and an adhesive provision apparatus. The transport apparatus transports an active material layer. The press roller has a foil attachment surface, which is a cylindrical surface to which the current collection foil is to be attached. The press roller rotates and moves the current collection foil attached to the foil attachment surface to the surface of the active material layer being transported by the transport apparatus and presses the current collection foil and the active material layer between the press roller and the transport apparatus. The adhesive provision apparatus is provided on a movement path of the current collection foil rotated and moved by the foil attachment surface of the press roller, and provides an adhesive to the current collection foil attached to the press roller.

All-solid-state battery manufacturing method

Provided is a stacked electrode body the whole of which can be checked for misregistration. A stacked electrode body for an all-solid-state battery includes a plurality of electrode bodies that are stacked and each includes a first electrode, a solid electrolyte layer, a second electrode, and a second current collector which are disposed on each of both surfaces of a first current collector in this order, wherein each of the electrode bodies has a protrusion protruding outward from a side face thereof, and the protrusions have phase differences in a stacking direction.

Stacked electrode body, resin-fixed stacked electrode body, and all-solid-state battery

Provided is a laminated battery that exhibits high volume energy efficiency and allows preventing intrusion of an insulating material between layers during production of the battery. A laminated battery disclosed herein includes a first collector layer, a first electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layer, a second electrode layer and a second collector layer. The first electrode layer opposes the second electrode layer across the solid electrolyte layer. An insulating layer is provided at an edge of the second electrode layer, in at least one edge of the laminated battery. In a direction perpendicular to a stacking direction of the laminated battery, the edge of the second electrode layer is positioned closer to a center of the laminated battery than an edge of the first electrode layer, and an outer edge of the insulating layer lies at the same position as that of the edge of the first electrode layer, or is positioned closer to the center of the laminated battery than that of the edge of the first electrode layer. The thickness of the insulating layer is equal to or smaller than the thickness of the second electrode layer.

Laminated battery

Provided is a laminated battery superior in current collection properties. A laminated battery disclosed herein includes a plurality of power generation elements. Each of the power generation elements includes a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer interposed between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer. The laminated battery includes a first collector. The plurality of power generation elements are laid up via the first collector. A dimension of a main surface of the first collector in at least one direction is smaller than a dimension of a main surface of the first electrode layer in the same direction. An insulating adhesive is disposed at a position straddling an edge of the first collector, such that the insulating adhesive bonds a main surface of one of the power generation elements and a main surface of a power generation element adjacent thereto.

Laminated battery and production method thereof

The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery disclosed herein includes the laminated electrode body having cell units in each of which a first electrode, a first separator, a second electrode, and a second separator are stacked. The first electrode has a first active material layer, and the second electrode has a second active material layer. A facing area which faces the second active material layer is formed in a central portion of the first active material layer. The first separator and the first electrode are bonded to each other by a first adhesive, and the first adhesive is not disposed in the facing area and is disposed in an area other than the facing area. The first separator and the second separator are not bonded to the second active material layer, and are joined to each other outside the second electrode.

An all-solid-state battery includes a case, a battery element, and a restraint component. The case accommodates the battery element. The battery element includes an electrode part and a resin part. The resin part covers at least a part of a side face of the electrode part. The restraint component applies a first pressure to the electrode part. The restraint component applies a second pressure to the resin part. The ratio of the second pressure to the first pressure is from 1.5 to 18.

All-solid-state battery, method of producing battery element, and method of producing all-solid-state battery

Provided is an electrode laminate for all-solid-state batteries, which is configured to suppress the occurrence of short circuits in all-solid-state batteries and/or to suppress a decrease in the durability of all-solid-state batteries, and which is configured to suppress an increase in the resistance value of all-solid-state batteries. Disclosed is an electrode laminate for all-solid-state batteries, comprising: a current collector complex comprising adhesive portions and a current collector portion that comprises at least a current collector, and an active material layer disposed on the current collector complex, wherein an active material layer-side main surface of the current collector portion and active material layer-side main surfaces of the adhesive portions are formed to be one flat surface, and the current collector portion and the active material layer are attached by the adhesive portions.

Electrode laminate for all-solid-state batteries and method for producing the electrode laminate

All-solid-state battery manufacturing apparatus and all-solid-state battery manufacturing method

A method for manufacturing an all-solid-state battery includes a battery unit producing step, a flattening step, and a stacking step. In the battery unit producing step, a battery unit having a plate shape is produced through a pressing step in which a laminate including at least one each of a positive electrode active material layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode active material layer is pressed in a thickness direction of the laminate with a first pressure. In the flattening step, the battery unit is flattened by pressing the produced battery unit in the thickness direction with a second pressure equal to or lower than the first pressure while heating the battery unit to a temperature equal to or higher than a temperature at which the battery unit softens and is deformed. In the stacking step, a plurality of the flattened battery units are stacked.

Method for manufacturing all-solid-state battery

Provided is a laminate that is configured to suppress a deterioration in the all-solid-state battery even if the end part of the anode layer is cracked. The laminate may be a laminate comprising an anode layer, a solid electrolyte layer and a cathode layer in this order, wherein an area in a planar direction of the cathode layer is smaller than an area in a planar direction of the anode layer; wherein an end part of the cathode layer comprises, on the solid electrolyte layer, a thin film part having a smaller thickness than a thickness of a central part of the cathode layer; and wherein the end part of the cathode layer comprises, on the thin film part, a space part formed by a level difference between the thin film part and the central part.

A stacking apparatus provided with a flexible conveyor plate (), a clamp mechanism () for holding a sheet-shaped member carried on the conveyor plate () against the conveyor plate (), and an adjustment mechanism able to adjust the degree of curvature of the conveyor plate (). When stacking a new sheet-shaped member () carried on the conveyor plate () onto already stacked sheet-shaped members (), the adjustment mechanism makes the conveyor plate () deform from a flat state to a curved state to make the new sheet-shaped member () carried on the conveyor plate () deform from a flat state to a curved state.
