An optical device is provided with an optical unit for forming an optical path of a laser beam, and a housing defining an internal space for accommodating the optical unit. The housing includes a partition for dividing the internal space into a first space and a second space. The optical unit includes a sensor arranged in the first space to detect the laser beam in the second space, a mirror arranged in the second space to define a direction of the optical path, a drive source arranged in the second space to operate the mirror to adjust the direction of the optical path, a power line for supplying power to the drive source, and a signal line for transmitting an output signal of the sensor. The signal line extends in the first space and the power line extends in the second space.

Optical device and image forming apparatus having the optical device incorporated therein

An attachment mechanism of an optical scanner includes a supporting structure with an opening and a fixing member. The fixing member positions and fixes the optical scanner with a positioning boss held by the opening. The fixing member includes an annular part having an outer circumference face fitted in the opening and an internal circumference face fitted on the positioning boss. One of the internal circumference face and an outer circumference face of the positioning boss includes a projection and another includes a depression for insertion of the projection. A top face of the projection and/or a bottom face of the depression slope(s) slanted from the circumference. By inserting the positioning boss in the opening, fitting the annular part in the opening, and turning the fixing member to narrow a gap between the top face and bottom face, the optical scanner is fixed to the supporting structure.

Attachment mechanism of optical scanner and image forming apparatus

A fixing mechanism of an optical scanning device, the optical scanning device emitting a light beam and performing a scanning, the optical scanning device further being fixed to a frame at an external part, the optical scanning device further including a housing, and the fixing mechanism including: a penetration hole provided in the frame; and a protruding pin provided at both ends of the housing thereby forming a plurality of protruding pins, wherein at least one of the plurality of protruding pins is insertable to the penetration hole formed in the frame; and a biasing member biasing the housing in a direction.

Fixing mechanism of optical scanning device and image forming apparatus

An exposing device includes a light source that emits scanning light, a polygonal rotating mirror that scans and deflects the scanning light in a specific scanning direction, a reflection mirror that reflects the scanning light that has been scanned and deflected at plural reflection points aligned in a specific direction for the scanning light to go incident on the image carrier, and a unit main body in which the polygonal rotating mirror and the reflection mirror are disposed at a specific interval. The unit main body has two attachment fixing portions on almost a same line linking the reflection points and fixed to the apparatus main body. An attachment support is supported on the apparatus main body and allows free expansion of the unit main body in a plane direction including the scanning direction of the polygonal rotating mirror on a side where the polygonal rotating mirror is installed.

Exposing device and image forming apparatus incorporating the same

A light source device is provided with a laser diode for emitting a light beam, and a base member obtained by integrally forming a flat portion and a standing portion projecting in a direction perpendicular to the flat portion and to have the laser diode mounted therein. The flat portion is formed with one or more screw holes for fixing the base member to a specified installation surface by means of screw(s), and through hole(s) penetrating the flat portion between the standing portion and the screw hole(s) formed near the standing portion.

Light source device and optical scanning apparatus provided with such light source device

In unit chassis 30 in which optical instruments are mounted, three of main fixing members 31, 32 and 33 formed in the reinforced reinforcing areas or in the contiguous areas thereof, as well as sunsidiary fixing member 34 connected to said main fixing members by flexible member 35, are provided, and unit chassis 30 is fixed by said fixing members in more than four places. The polygon mirror as a vibration source is mounted in the position 9x that are inside of a triangle PO formed by three of main fixing members 31, 32 and 33 or in the vicinity thereof. In this case, high-reinforcing area P2 reinforced more than any other area is formed between said position 9x and the position 8x of deflecting mirror for reflecting the scanned beam light. Main fixing members 31 and 32 among three of main fixing members are formed in two places having the high-reinforcing area between them.
