An object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas purification system which exhibits high exhaust gas purification performance. The present invention provides an exhaust gas purification system including: a carrier containing aluminum oxide; an exhaust gas purification device including a catalyst provided on the carrier and containing gallium, and connected to an internal combustion engine; and a system connected to the exhaust gas purification device for increasing an oxygen concentration. The system for increasing an oxygen concentration provides an oxygen concentration higher than that of a post combusted gas of the internal combustion engine.

Exhaust gas purification system

Disclosed is a COconcentration reducing device for separating and removing COfrom a gas containing COwith a COadsorbent, the COconcentration reducing device including: an adsorbent container which contains the COadsorbent; and a heating unit which heats the COadsorbent by an induction heating or a dielectric heating. Thus, a ventilation quantity can be reduced when COaccumulated in a room is removed, and an electric power required for the ventilation and the electric power required for air conditioning can be reduced.

COconcentration reducing device

Provided is an exhaust-gas treatment equipment including: a reaction container filled with a gas capture material that captures a particular gas component, the reactor container emitting gas obtained by removing the particular gas component from supplied gas by reaction of the supplied gas with the gas capture material; a temperature measuring element disposed in the reaction container, the temperature measuring element measuring a temperature of the gas capture material in the reaction container; a moving unit that freely moves the temperature measuring element in a direction that is parallel to a flow of the supplied gas flowing in the reaction container; and a control unit that estimates a deterioration state of the gas capture material using temperatures of the gas capture material at a plurality of different positions in the reaction container, the temperatures being measured by the temperature measuring element.

Exhaust-gas treatment equipment and gas-capture-material deterioration-state estimating method

To provide a novel power train system capable of improving fuel efficiency, reducing harmful components of an exhaust gas, and improving an output by adjusting a composition of a gas component of the exhaust gas in accordance with an operation condition. Therefore, provided is a power train system including a gas component separation unit () which extracts a plurality of gas components having different specific heat ratios from an exhaust gas of a spark ignition type internal combustion engine (), a recirculation unit which recirculates the plurality of gas components to a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and a ratio adjustment unit () which adjusts a ratio of the plurality of gas components recirculated to the combustion chamber in response to an operation state of the internal combustion engine. A composition of a gas recirculated to the internal combustion engine can be adjusted depending on various operation conditions. Accordingly, it is possible to improve fuel efficiency, reduce harmful components of an exhaust gas, and improve an output in a wide range of operation conditions of the internal combustion engine.

Power train system

A COremoval device includes: a COcapturing material which captures HO and COin a gas; a reaction container which contains the COcapturing material; an HO measuring unit for measuring the concentration of HO in the gas; an HO concentration adjustment device which adjusts the concentration of HO on the basis of information obtained by the HO measuring unit; a gas introduction path introducing the gas into the reaction container from the HO concentration adjustment device and bringing the gas into contact with the COcapturing material; a first gas discharge path discharging the gas from the reaction container after the gas has been brought into contact with the COcapturing material; and a second gas discharge path discharging the gas that has been desorbed from the COcapturing material from the reaction container.

A Cr trapping agent is disposed so that it contacts with constituting components of the substrate containing Cr. As the Cr trapping agent, an element or Ag is used, wherein the element is stronger in basicity than alkali metals or alkaline earth metals. Since the Cr trapping agent prevents transfer of Cr towards the alkali metals or alkaline earth metals, the reaction between Cr and alkali metals or alkaline earth metals is prevented.

A catalyst for use in purifying exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine. The active components of an exhaust gas purification catalyst for an internal combustion engine tend to be melted or softened and then to move outside the carrier, because the components become in contact with exhaust gas at a high temperature. Hence, anchoring materials are provided between carriers in order to suppress the moving of catalytically active components. Anchoring materialsdo not form compounds with catalytically active components, and are selected from substances that do not melt even in contact with exhaust gas at a high temperature. When the active components contain sodium, potassium, cesium, lithium, strontium, barium, noble metals and the like, the best anchoring material is MgO. The anchoring material functions as a barrier that prevents the moving of active components.

Emission gas purification catalyst and internal combustion engine provided with the catalyst

In a method and apparatus for removing nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gas of a lean-burn automobile, a CO adsorbent component, which may, for example be made of Pd, Ru or Ir, is contained in an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst which captures NOx when the air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas is higher than theoretical air-fuel ratio, and reduces the captured NOx when the air-fuel ratio of exhaust gad is less than or equal to the theoretical air-fuel ratio. The catalyst, which includes Rh, Pt, and element selected from among the alkaline and alkaline earth metals (Na, Mg, K, Li, Cs, Sr and Ca), and a CO adsorbent material comprising Pd, Ir or Ru, has a CO desorption capacity that reaches at maximum level at a temperature within the range from 200 to 220&#xb0; C. when its temperature is increased in a He gas flow at the rate of 5 to 10&#xb0; C./min, after said catalyst is saturated at 100&#xb0; C. Exhaust gas having an air-fuel ratio higher than theoretical air-fuel and exhaust gas having an air-fuel ratio less than or equal to the theoretical air-fuel ratio are alternately made to flow to the catalyst.

Method for cleaning exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine
