A light source device includes a light source module, a plurality of heat receiving plates coupled to the light source module, and a cooling plate coupled to the plurality of heat receiving plates, cooling liquid flowing on the inside of the cooling plate. The cooling plate includes an upstream-side flowing section, a downstream-side flowing section, and a plurality of heat transfer sections provided in at least one of the upstream-side flowing section and the downstream-side flowing section and aligned in a second direction. The plurality of heat transfer sections include a plurality of fins extending in the second direction and a plurality of channels provided among the plurality of fins. The plurality of heat receiving plates are disposed along the second direction. The plurality of heat transfer sections are separated from one another in positions among the plurality of heat receiving plates in the second direction.

Light source device, projector, and cooling plate

A light source apparatus includes an enclosure, a phosphor wheel including a phosphor and disposed in the enclosure, a wheel-side heat dissipater that includes a plurality of fins provided at the phosphor wheel and generates an airflow flowing from the side facing the center of the phosphor wheel toward the periphery thereof with the aid of rotation of the phosphor wheel, a driver that rotates the phosphor wheel, a heat receiving member that includes a placement section where the driver is placed and faces the wheel-side heat dissipater, a heat sink coupled to a side of the heat receiving member, the side opposite to the phosphor wheel, and disposed outside the enclosure, and a plurality of columnar protrusions that are provided around the placement section and protrude into the enclosure toward the plurality of fins.

Light source apparatus and projector

A light source apparatus includes first and second optical elements, a support member to which the elements are fixed and supported, a first heat dissipation member to which the first optical element is connected, a second heat dissipation member to which heat of the second optical element is transferred, a heat transport member transporting the heat of the second optical element to the second heat dissipation member, and a cooling fan sending a cooling gas to the first and second heat dissipation members. The first heat dissipation member is on the opposite side from the direction toward which the light outputted from the first optical element travels. The second heat dissipation member is adjacent to the first heat dissipation member with a gap. The second heat dissipation member overlaps with the first heat when viewed along a flow direction of the cooling gas sent thereto.

A light source device has a light source unit including a base member and a plurality of light emitting devices held in the base member, a heat receiving plate including an opening portion, to which the base member is fixed to cover the opening portion, and a heat diffusion member in contact with the base member via the opening portion. Heat from the light source unit is transmitted to the heat receiving plate and the heat diffusion member.

An electro-optical device includes a cable connected to an electronic component, a storage casing that stores the electronic component and an optical component and has an insertion hole through which the cable is inserted, a fixing portion that is fixed to the storage casing, and an elastic portion that is fixed to the fixing portion. The fixing portion has a first opposing portion and a second opposing portion that are disposed opposite to each other with the cable that protrudes from the insertion hole, interposed therebetween, and the elastic portion includes a first protruding portion and a second protruding portion, and the first protruding portion and the second protruding portion are pressed against each other with the cable interposed therebetween and are disposed so as to surround a vicinity of the cable.

A projector includes an adjustment mechanism adjusting a light axis of the optical member. The adjustment mechanism includes a first member, a second member attached to be movable in a first direction orthogonal to the light axis of the optical member with respect to the first member, a third member holding the optical member and attached to be rotatable around a rotation center axis parallel to the light axis with respect to the second member, a first adjustment portion moving the second member in the first direction with respect to the first member, and a second adjustment portion rotating the third member around the rotation center axis with respect to the second member, and an operation portion of the first adjustment portion and an operation portion of the second adjustment portion are placed at the same side.

Lens adjustment mechanism and projector

A cooling apparatus includes a cooling fan that has a rotating blade and a fan case accommodating the blade and delivers cooling air and a holder that holds the cooling fan. The holder has a first member and a second member that sandwich and support the cooling fan, and the first member and the second member are made of materials having physical properties different from each other and hence have natural frequencies different from each other.

A projector has plural liquid crystal light valves each of which modulates color light, a cross dichroic prism which combines the color lights modulated by the plural liquid crystal light valves, and a projection lens which projects the light combined by the cross dichroic prism. The projector includes: a holding unit which holds the liquid crystal light valve; and a supporting member having a body unit supported to the cross dichroic prism and first plate-like portions which protrude from the body unit and support the holding unit. The first plate-like portions are inclined from a vertical plane including an optical axis of the liquid crystal light valve.

An optical device includes a plurality of light modulators modulating a plurality of incident color lights with respect to each color light, a light combining optical unit having a plurality of light incident surfaces that the plurality of modulated color lights respectively enter, and combining the plurality of entering color lights, a holding part holding the light modulator, and a supporting part loosely fitting and supporting the holding part, and disposed in a location facing the light incident surface of the light combining optical unit, wherein the supporting part has an extending part extending in a direction away from the light incident surface, and a locking part having a first slope is provided in an end part in an extension direction of the extending part.

A projector includes: a reflection type light modulation device which modulates received light according to image information and reflects the modulated light; a reflection type polarization plate which separates both of light supplied to the reflection type light modulation device and light modulated by the reflection type light modulation device into respective polarized lights; and a temperature measuring member which measures the temperature of the reflection type light modulation device, wherein the temperature measuring member is disposed in the rear side of the reflection type light modulation device.

A projector includes: a plurality of reflection type light modulation devices which modulates a corresponding color light; a color synthesize optical device which has a plurality of light entrance side surfaces and a crossing surface to combine the received color lights; a heat sink which has a base attached to the corresponding reflection type light modulation device, and a fin protruding from the base and extending in a direction crossing the crossing end surface; and a duct member disposed at a position opposed to the crossing surface to supply introduced air toward the heat sink, wherein the duct member includes a first outlet section disposed opposed to the fin such that the introduced air can be supplied toward the base through the first outlet section, and a second outlet section through which the introduced air is supplied in the extending direction of the fin.
