A slide mechanism includes: a slider that is movable between a first position and a second position along an edge wall; a shield cover on the slider, the shield cover being located to cover the front of the camera when the slider is in the first position and located to be away from the front of the camera when the slider is in the second position; a movable magnet at the slider; and a fixed magnet at the chassis. The movable magnet and the fixed magnet are disposed to face each other so that when the slider is in the first position and the second position, the movable magnet and the fixed magnet attract to each other, and when the slider is located between the first position and the second position, the movable magnet and the fixed magnet repel each other.

Electronic apparatus and slide mechanism

Apparatus and methods that determine the positional state of a lid body relative to a chassis body based on a detected amount of magnetic flux are disclosed. One apparatus includes a lid body including a first magnet and a magnetic sensor and a chassis body including a second magnet. The magnetic sensor is configured to detect an amount of magnetic flux from the first magnet and the second magnet is positioned on the chassis body to influence the amount of magnetic flux detected by the magnetic sensor based on the relative positions of the lid body and the chassis body.

Apparatus and methods for determining positional state based on magnetic flux

An expansion device removably attachable even to a thin portable information apparatus and an electronic apparatus including the portable information apparatus and the expansion device are disclosed. An expansion device includes: a device chassis having a shorter front-rear dimension than a front-rear dimension of an apparatus chassis of a portable information apparatus; a plurality of attracted bodies such as a plurality of magnets or iron plates provided to face a top surface of the device chassis and capable of attracting a plurality of magnets provided to face a bottom surface of the apparatus chassis; and a fitting hole that is provided at the top surface of the device chassis and into which a leg portion protruding from the bottom surface of the apparatus chassis is fittable.

Expansion device for portable information apparatuses

A transceiver is disclosed. The transceiver includes a first unit capable of a full-duplex communication using an electromagnetic wave, and a second unit capable of a full-duplex communication using an electromagnetic wave. The first unit includes a transmitter and a receiver arranged in this order at a predetermined interval in a first direction. The second unit includes a receiver and a transmitter arranged in this order at a predetermined interval in the first direction. The second unit is placed adjacent to the first unit in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

Electronic apparatus having multiple transceivers

A low-cost electronic device capable of storing keycaps within a chassis is disclosed. The electronic device includes a support plate; a set of keycaps supported above the top face of the support plate, the keycaps moving up and down between the operating position and the storage position; and a frame functioning as a driving member that is movable relative to the keycaps in the direction parallel to the top face of the support plate. Each keycap has a pressure-receiving part. The frame has pressing parts that move relative to the keycaps to come in contact with the pressure-receiving parts.
