A control is performed to drive a horn via an ultrasonic wave generator so as to apply ultrasonic energy to a web in one of an outward path and a return path of an anvil and not to apply ultrasonic energy to the web in the other one of the outward path and the return path.

Apparatus and method for ultrasonic welding

A first shaft control section is configured to control rotation of a first support shaft supporting a first roll such that a sheet is unwound from the first roll at a predetermined running speed. A second shaft control section is configured to execute a first rotation control of regulating a rotational speed of a second support shaft supporting a second roll such that a peripheral speed of the second roll coincides with the predetermined running speed of the sheet of the first roll. The second shaft control section is configured to regulate the rotational speed of the second support shaft by acceleration or deceleration such that an adhesive on an outer peripheral surface of the second roll arrives at a pressing position when a target joining portion of the sheet of the first roll meets the pressing position.

Sheet-feeding device and sheet-feeding method

A first shaft control section controls a first support shaft so that a sheet is unwound from the first roll at a predetermined running speed. A second shaft control section executes an adjustive control of adjusting at least one of a rotation start time and a rotational acceleration of the second support shaft so that, when a first joining target mark on the sheet of the first roll moves to a first reference position, a second joining target mark on an outer peripheral surface of the second roll arrives at a second reference position in a rotational direction thereof, and a peripheral speed of the second roll coincides with the running speed of the sheet of the first roll.

In steady control, a shaft control unit () adjusts rotation speed of a first support shaft () to cause a first roll (R) to have peripheral speed equal to predetermined conveyance speed by maintaining a sheet storage amount in a storage mechanism () in a first storage amount as a reference. In storage amount adjustment control, the shaft control unit () accelerates the rotation speed of the first support shaft () to increase the peripheral speed of the first roll (R) higher than the conveyance speed, until the sheet storage amount in the storage mechanism () reaches a predetermined second storage amount that is larger than the first storage amount. A calculation unit () calculates an outer diameter of the first roll (R) based on the conveyance speed when the steady control is performed, and calculates the outer diameter of the first roll (R) based on the sheet thickness calculated from a decrease amount of the outer diameter of the first roll (R) in the steady control when the storage amount adjustment control is performed.

Sheet feeding device and sheet feeding method

A controller includes: an adhesion member position determination unit that determines a position of an adhesion member in a rotation direction of a roll on the basis of the result of detection from an adhesion member detector in a state in which the roll has been rotated by a shaft control unit; and an outer diameter determination unit that determines an outer diameter of the roll in a portion where the adhesion member is positioned, the determination being performed on the basis of the result of detection from an outer diameter detector in a state in which driving of shaft drive sources are controlled by the shaft control unit such that the adhesion member is positioned within a detection range of the outer diameter detector on the basis of the position of the adhesion member determined by the adhesion member position determination unit.

Sheet supply device and sheet supply method

A controller includes a shaft control unit that controls driving of a shaft drive source such that a standby side roll is rotated, and a unit control unit that presses a pressing roller against an outer peripheral surface of the standby side roll via a sheet of a supply side roll by performing torque control on a unit drive source in a state in which the pressing roller is positioned in an area from a control switching position to the outer peripheral surface of the standby side roll together with performing position control on the unit drive source in a state in which the pressing roller is positioned in an area farther away from the standby side roll than the control switching position away from the outer peripheral surface of the standby side roll by a preset distance while the standby side roll is rotated by the shaft control unit.

An ultrasonic welding device includes a support device configured to support a work piece along a predetermined conveyance surface; a welding machine including an oscillator for generating a high-frequency electric signal, a transducer for converting the high-frequency electric signal to a mechanical vibration, and a horn to which the mechanical vibration is transmitted, the horn being disposed to face a part to be welded of a work piece supported along the conveyance surface, and the mechanical vibration being imparted via the horn to the part to be welded, whereby the part to be welded is welded; a detector for detecting an abnormality in the part to be welded, the detector being disposed upstream in the conveyance direction of the work piece than the support device; and a protective device for prohibiting the welding machine from welding the part to be welded in which an abnormality is detected by the detector.
