An optical transceiver includes an outer part provided outside the apparatus upon an engagement of the optical transceiver with the apparatus. The outer part includes a first spindle, a rotational member, a sliding member. The rotational member is configured to rotate on the first spindle. The sliding member is configured to move along the first direction. The rotational member has a hole. The sliding member has a second spindle. The first spindle and the second spindle are fit with the hole. The optical transceiver includes an inner part provided inside the apparatus upon the engagement with the apparatus. The hole has a first circular area, a second circular area, and a straight area. The first spindle is fit with the first circular area. The second spindle is fit with the second circular area. The straight area is connected between the first circular area and the second circular area.

Optical transceiver

An optical transceiver which is inserted and ejected with respect to a cage is disclosed. The optical transceiver comprises a slider, a housing supporting the slider to slid the slider along the first direction, and a latch rotating along a second direction intersecting with the first direction at the center of a shaft. The latch has a first face engaging the cage and a second face locking the slider, and is supported by the housing. The latch controls the rotating by locking the second face to the slider when the slider is in a first position, and uncontrols the rotating when the slider is in a second position farther than the first position ejected a direction. A position of the shaft is the same position as a position of the first face or more than a position ejected in case of locking the second face to the slider.

The optical transceiver includes a case that has a second engagement portion engaging with a first engagement portion provided in the cage to prevent the optical transceiver from being ejected from the cage, a slider that moves relative to the case in the first direction with respect to the case, and a pusher that is oscillatably supported by the case via an oscillation shaft extending in a second direction and disengages the first engagement portion and the second engagement portion from each other by pushing the first engagement portion in a third direction while being interlocked with a movement of the slider. The oscillation shaft is positioned in an ejecting direction with respect to an interlocking part of the slider and the pusher.

Optical transceiver and optical transceiver insertion/ejection mechanism

An optical transceiver that includes a housing, an inner ceiling, and an outer ceiling. The housing includes sides and a bottom. The inner ceiling is assembled with the housing; while, the outer ceiling is fit with the housing. The outer ceiling, which forms a cavity accompanied with the housing, is fastened with the inner ceiling by a screw inserted into a screw hole.

A pluggable optical transceiver is disclosed where the optical transceiver provides a housing, a lid, and a shield finger. The lid and the shield finger are assembled with the housing such that the shield finger fastens the lid against the housing. The housing provides a pocket that receives an end of the shield finger. The pocket provides negative slopes to gradually widen the cross section thereof as advancing a bottom of the pocket. The shield finger provides a tab in an end thereof, where the tab is bent inward to be hooked with the negative slope of the pocket.
