A drive device is provided and includes: a movable body including an attachment part, to which an optical module is attached; a fixed body; and a support part rotatably supporting the movable body about an optical axis of the optical module attached to the attachment part with respect to the fixed body. The movable body includes a movable body-side fixing part, to which a flexible printed circuit pulled out of the optical module is fixed. The fixed body includes a fixed body-side fixing part, to which the flexible printed circuit is fixed. And, a portion between the movable body-side fixing part and the fixed body-side fixing part in a region along an outer periphery of the fixed body is set as a region drawn around in an attitude causing a thickness direction of the flexible printed circuit to be directions both orthogonal to a direction of the optical axis.

Drive device and optical unit

In a rotor of a motor or the like, in order to suppress scattering of a part of a magnet provided around a rotating shaft, the rotor has a cylindrical magnet through which the rotating shaft passes, a first holder which covers the magnet from one side in an axial direction of the rotating shaft and a second holder which covers the magnet from the other side in the axial direction. The magnet is press-fitted into a first body portion of the first holder and a second body portion of the second holder, and a first end of the first body portion and a second end of the second body portion are joined by welding or the like. An inner diameter of the first end and the inner diameter of the second end are larger than an outer diameter of the magnet.

Rotor, motor, and rotor manufacturing method

An optical unit is provided for performing heat dissipation for an optical module. The optical unit includes a movable body having the optical module and a fixed body which holds the movable body in a displaceable state. The movable body includes a circuit board provided in the optical module and at least one heat radiation member disposed in a periphery of the optical module. The heat radiation member is connected with the circuit board in a heat-conductive manner.

Optical unit

A laser pointer may include a laser light emitter that emits a laser beam, a housing accommodating the laser light emitter; a vibration detection sensor that detects a vibration produced in the housing, a shake correction mechanism that changes a direction of the laser beam emitted by the laser light emitter, and a controller that controls the direction of the laser beam, which is changed by the shake correction mechanism, into a direction so as to offset the vibration detected by the vibration detection sensor. The controller may be configured to calculate a frequency of the vibration; calculate a movement amount of the vibration; determine whether a vibration applied to the housing is caused by a hand-shake based on the frequency of the vibration and the movement amount of the vibration; and activate the shake correction mechanism in response to a determination that the vibration is caused by a hand-shake.

To draw a flexible printed circuit board in a small space with high flexibility in an optical unit with shake correction function. In an optical unit with rolling correction function, a first flexible printed circuit board for an imaging element is drawn around an optical axis of the optical unit with rolling correction function such that the first flexible printed circuit board is wound by substantially a turn in a circumferential direction at an identical height in an optical axis direction. Furthermore, in a portion wound in the circumferential direction (i.e., a connection part), one end and the other end in the circumferential direction are at an identical height in the optical axis direction. Furthermore, a second flexible printed circuit board for a rolling magnetic driving mechanism and a third flexible printed circuit board for a swing magnetic driving mechanism are also drawn in a similar manner.

Optical unit with shake correction function having magnetic driving mechanism and flexible printed circuit board

An optical unit with shake correction function capable of reducing a weight of a rotation member to be rotated in rolling correction. An optical unit with shake correction function includes: a movable member; a swing supporting mechanism supporting the movable member such that the movable member is able to swing; and a fixation member supporting the movable member via the swing supporting mechanism. The movable member includes: an imaging module; a rotation seat supporting the imaging module; a rotation supporting mechanism supporting the rotation seat such that the rotation seat is able to rotate on an optical axis of the imaging module; a supporting member supporting the rotation seat via the rotation supporting mechanism; and a rolling magnetic driving mechanism causing the rotation seat to rotate. The imaging module and the rotation seat configure the rotation member to be rotated by the rolling magnetic driving mechanism.

Optical unit with shake correction function having swing supporting mechanism permitting a tilting posture

To provide a rolling magnetic driving unit that can be employed for both of an optical unit with shake correction function that causes an optical module to swing and rotate and an optical unit with shake correction function that causes the optical module to rotate, a second unit (i.e., a rolling magnetic driving unit) includes: a rotation seat; and a fixation member that supports the rotation seat via a bearing mechanism. The rotation seat and the bearing mechanism configure a rotation-supporting mechanism. The rotation-supporting mechanism supports a holder, which supports the optical module such that the optical module is able to swing, such the holder is able to rotate on the axis. Furthermore, the second unit includes a rolling magnetic driving mechanism, which includes a rolling driving coil that is held by the rotation seat and a rolling driving magnet that is held by the fixation member.

Rolling magnetic driving unit and optical unit with shake correction function

An optical unit with rolling correction function is provided and performs rolling correction by fixing a circuit board on which an imaging element is mounted and a heat dissipating member to a rotation member, transmitting heat from the circuit board to the heat dissipating member, and rotating the rotation member. A rotation shaft of a rotation supporting mechanism is fixed to the rotation member via the heat dissipating member. Accordingly, it is possible to dissipate heat by transmitting heat that is generated from the imaging element, from the circuit board to the heat dissipating member, and then transmitting the heat from the heat dissipating member to the rotation shaft. The imaging element and the heat dissipating member overlap with the rotation shaft at an identical position when the imaging element and the heat dissipating member are seen from an optical axis direction.

Optical unit with rolling correction function and optical unit with triaxial shake correction function

A fluid dynamic bearing device includes a sleeve having a bearing hole into which a shaft is inserted, the sleeve rotatably supporting the shaft to make relative rotation about a center axis and a bearing housing made of a cold-rolled steel plate or a galvanized steel plate, the sleeve being received within the bearing housing. The bearing housing is filled with lubricating oil mainly composed of ester. A radial dynamic pressure bearing portion is provided between an outer circumferential surface of the shaft and an inner circumferential surface of the sleeve, the radial dynamic pressure bearing portion having radial dynamic pressure grooves for holding the lubricating oil as working fluid and for inducing a fluid dynamic pressure in the lubricating oil during the relative rotation. At least a surface region of the bearing housing remaining in contact with the lubricating oil is coated with a layer mainly composed of nickel.

Fluid dynamic bearing device, spindle motor, and disk drive apparatus including nickel coated bearing housing

In spindle motors journaled on fluid-dynamic-pressure bearings, especially in such spindle motors employed in recording-disk drives in implementations that subject the drives to vibration and shock, sealing performance of a capillary seal formed between motor rotor-side and stator-side bearing surfaces, cohesiveness of oil-repellant on rotor-side/stator-side dry-area surfaces adjoining the capillary seal section, and motor inter-component adhesive strength are improved. The capillary-seal-constituting rotor-side/stator-side surface(s) are exposed to a plasma or to ultraviolet rays under predetermined conditions to improve the wettability of the surface(s) for the bearing fluid. The dry-area surface(s) are similarly irradiated so as to improve their wettability for the oil-repellant. Adhesively bonded component surfaces are likewise irradiated so as to improve their wettability for the adhesive, enhancing adhesive strength. Exposed surfaces may be constituted of a synthetic resin to enhance their wettability further, or may be made of metal, to yield a cleaning efficacy from the plasma/UV exposure.

Methods of manufacturing fluid-dynamic-pressure bearing and spindle motor incorporating the bearing, and spindle motor and recording-disk drive incorporating the bearing

A sleeve portion is inserted into a hole portion of a base bracket on which an adhesive of heat cure type is applied while a rotor portion and a stator portion are retained by a position determining jig. Then, the sleeve portion is initially affixed to the base bracket by a high frequency induction heating of an induction coil. Then, the initial affixation is cured completely in an oven. Since the adhesive of heat cure type is used, generation of outgass will be minimized and a manufacturing cost of the motor having such components will be reduced.

Manufacturing method for motor

A bearing apparatus includes a rotating member, a fixed member opposing the rotating member and an ink-like resin material. Opposing surfaces of the rotating member and the fixed member form a bearing part and the ink-like resin material is applied to at least one of the opposing surfaces by transfer printing.

Method for manufacturing a fluid dynamic bearing by printing a resin sliding film

A hydrodynamic bearing device comprises a shaft bush having a substantially conical inclined dynamic pressure surface around the outer circumference thereof which is relatively rotatably inserted in a bearing sleeve having a substantially conical inclined dynamic pressure surface around the inner circumference thereof. A substantially conical inclined bearing space is created in the gap between the inclined dynamic pressure surfaces of the bearing sleeve and shaft bush. Lubricant fluid is filled inside the inclined bearing space. A proper dynamic pressure generating means is formed on at least one of the inclined dynamic pressure surfaces of the shaft bush and bearing sleeve. The lubricant fluid is pressurized by the dynamic pressure generating means to generate dynamic pressure, by which the shaft bush and the bearing sleeve are relatively elevated in the radial and thrust directions so that their rotations are supported in a non-contact manner. A fluid sealing portion is provided in the inclined bearing space to prevent the lubricant fluid from leaking outside of the inclined bearing space. A fluid pressurizing means is provided between the inclined bearing space and the fluid sealing portion to pressurize the lubricant fluid in the direction to push it toward the inside of the inclined bearing space.

In a spindle motor, a core includes a plurality of core plates, which are laminated one on another. The core is constituted by laminating two cores, that is, a first core and a second core, which are different from each other in shape of a surface facing to a rotor magnet. At least a part of a cogging torque generated at the second core can be cancelled by a cogging torque generated at the first core.
