A communication control method includes, by a relay node relaying communication between a lower node and an upper node, detecting a failure in a first radio link between the upper node and the relay node, by the relay node, in response to the detection of the failure, transmitting, to the lower node, a first notification indicating the detection of the failure and attempting recovery of the first radio link, and, by the lower node, executing predetermined processing in a state of maintaining a second radio link with the relay node until a predetermined time period elapses after reception of the first notification from the relay node.

Communication control method

A communication control method according to an embodiment is a method for controlling dual connectivity communication in which user equipment communicates simultaneously with a master node and a secondary node. The communication control method includes detecting, by the user equipment, deterioration of a radio link between a first base station operating as the master node and the user equipment, transmitting, by the user equipment, a first message based on the deterioration of the radio link, to a second base station operating as the secondary node, and transmitting, by the second base station having received the first message, a second message to the first base station, the second message being used to recover the dual connectivity communication.

A user equipment includes a receiver configured to receive a data packet belonging to an MBS service via a PTM radio bearer, and a controller. The receiver receives, from a base station, configuration information for configuring association between the PTM radio bearer and a PTP data path for receiving the data packet belonging to the MBS service. The controller associates the PTP data path with the PTM radio bearer based on the configuration information.

A communication control method according to a first aspect is a method used in cellular communication system including a relay node for relaying communication between a base station and user equipment. The communication control method includes the steps of: broadcasting, by the base station managing a cell belonging to a Non-Public Network (NPN), a system information block including an NPN identifier identifying the NPN to the cell; receiving, by the relay node, the system information block from the base station; and determining, by the relay node, whether an access from the relay node to the cell is permitted, based on the system information block.

A handover control according to a first aspect is a method for performing conditional handover of user equipment from a source cell to which the user equipment is connected to a target cell. The handover control method comprises receiving, by the user equipment, from the source cell, an RRC message for handover, the RRC message including identifiers of a plurality of candidate cells being candidates for the target cell; and transmitting, by the user equipment, a report message including information related to a radio link failure detected in the source cell, to a cell to which the user equipment connects after the radio link failure. The report message includes the identifiers of all the candidate cells included in the RRC message.

A communication control method includes broadcasting, by a first relay node configured to manage a cell, relay node support information indicating that the cell supports the relay node, communicating, by the first relay node, a failure-related notification indicating that a failure has occurred in a backhaul link, and stopping, by the first relay node, the broadcasting of the relay node support information according to the communication of the failure-related notification.

After receiving a PCS RRC connection released notification from a source user equipment (UE) device, a base station notifies a peer UE device. Where the base station is the serving base station of the peer UE device, the base station sends a PCS RRC connection released notification peer message to the peer UE device. Where the base station is not the serving base station of the peer UE device, the base station sends a PCS RRC connection released notification base station message to the other base station that is serving the peer UE device and the other base station sends a notification peer message to the peer UE device. In some situations, the base station evaluates data to determine whether notification should be sent to the peer UE device. At least some of the data may be included in the notification received from the source UE device.

A communication control method comprises transmitting, by a user equipment to a network node, first information indicating that the user equipment prefers one of a RRC idle mode and a RRC inactive mode when data to be transmitted to the network node is not to occur in near future; and in response to changing a preferred RRC mode from a RRC mode indicated by the first information to a RRC connected mode, transmitting, by the user equipment to the network node, second information indicating that the user equipment prefers to revert the first information to leave the RRC connected mode.

A handover control method for performing a conditional handover of a user equipment from a source cell to a target cell, the source cell to which the user equipment connects. The handover control method comprises transmitting, by a source base station which manages the source cell to the user equipment, a RRC message including a list of candidate cells which are candidates for the target cell and a handover condition specified for each of the candidate cells in the list; and starting, by the source base station, transfer of a copy of downlink data of the user equipment to a candidate base station which manages the candidate cell in the list before the user equipment performs the handover.

A communication control method according to an embodiment is a method used in a mobile communication system for providing a multicast broadcast service (MBS) from a base station to a user equipment. The communication control method includes transmitting, by the base station to the user equipment, switching information for switching a delivery mode between a first mode in which an MBS configuration is provided through dedicated signaling and a second mode in which the MBS configuration is provided through broadcast signaling; and performing, by the user equipment having received the switching information, mode switching between the first mode and the second mode based on the switching information.

A network identifier for identifying a non-public cellular network allowed to be accessed from a user equipment and frequency information indicating a frequency of the non-public cellular network are stored in a SIM. The user equipment performs search processing for the non-public cellular network in accordance with the network identifier and the frequency information stored in the SIM.
