According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes first pixels overlapping with a display area and second pixels overlapping with a surrounding area, color filters corresponding to each of the first pixels, and a first light-shielding layer including an aperture overlapping with each of the first and second pixels. The second substrate includes a second light-shielding layer surrounding the display area. The width of the first light-shielding layer arranged at a position overlapping with an end portion of the display area is greater than a width between apertures overlapping with each of first pixels adjacent to each other.

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device with an optical sensor includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes first to third signal lines, an optical sensor including a photoelectric conversion element, first to third power feeding lines supplying first to third voltages to operate the optical sensor, and a sensor signal line outputting the detection signal. The first to third power feeding lines are located between the first to third signal lines and the sensor signal line in a thickness direction.

Liquid crystal displays with optical sensors

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first common electrode, a second common electrode spaced apart from the first common electrode, a first signal line overlapping the first common electrode and the second common electrode, a first metal line overlapping the first signal line and the first common electrode, and a second metal line overlapping the first signal line and the second common electrode and spaced apart from the first metal line. The first metal line includes an extension portion extending between the first common electrode and the second common electrode.

Display device and touch sensor having sensor electrodes

The purpose of the invention is to improve the reliability of insulation between the video signal line and the source electrode in a liquid crystal display device. The configuration is: A liquid crystal display device in which a first video signal line, a second video signal line and a source electrode are on a first interlayer insulating film; a second interlayer insulating film is formed over the first video signal line, the second video signal line, and the source electrode; a relay electrode connected to the source electrode is formed on the second interlayer insulating film, an organic passivation film is formed over the second interlayer insulating film, a capacitance insulating film is formed over the organic passivation film, and the pixel electrode is formed in a first through hole formed in the organic passivation film; the pixel electrode is connected to the relay electrode in the first through hole.
