An engine device including a common rail configured to store, at a high pressure, a fuel supplied by a fuel feed pump. The common rail includes a pressure reducing valve configured to discharge the fuel in the common rail to a fuel return pipe. The fuel return pipe extends from the pressure reducing valve to a position higher than the pressure reducing valve, and then extends to a position lower than the pressure reducing valve.

An engine device includes an exhaust manifold disposed on one of left and right sides of a cylinder head, and an intake manifold disposed on another one of the left and right sides of the cylinder head. The engine device further includes a turbocharger that uses fluid energy of an exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust manifold to compress fresh air to be flowed into the intake manifold. The turbocharger is constituted by a two-stage turbocharger including a high-pressure turbocharger coupled to the exhaust manifold and a low-pressure turbocharger coupled to the high-pressure turbocharger. The high-pressure turbocharger is disposed on one of left and right lateral sides of the exhaust manifold, while the low-pressure turbocharger is disposed above the exhaust manifold.

Engine device

An engine is provided with an engine body, a crankshaft, a cooling fan, an exhaust manifold, a supercharger, an ATD that purifies exhaust gas, and a second exhaust pipe. When the height direction of the engine is defined as a first direction, the crankshaft extends in a second direction vertical to the first direction. The cooling fan is disposed on one side of the engine body in the second direction. The supercharger is driven by the exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold. The second exhaust pipe connects the supercharger and the ATD. The ATD is disposed in an attitude in which the longitudinal direction thereof is parallel to the second direction. The second exhaust pipe is connected to the cooling fan side of the ATD in the second direction. The second exhaust pipe is disposed so as to pass laterally with respect to the exhaust manifold and below the supercharger.

Turbocharged engine arrangement

Provided is an engine device for which an increase in width can be suppressed due to the size of an EGR cooler. The engine device comprises: a cylinder block; a cylinder head; an exhaust manifold; and an EGR cooler. The cylinder head is disposed above the cylinder block. The exhaust manifold is disposed on one side surface of the cylinder head and circulates exhaust gas exhausted from the cylinder head. The EGR cooler is disposed below the exhaust manifold and cools EGR gas constituting a portion of the exhaust gas exhausted from the exhaust manifold.

This diesel engine comprises: an engine body part in which a cylinder head is fastened to an upper section of a cylinder block; a turbocharger; and an exhaust gas post-treatment device. A cooling fan is provided on the front side in the front-rear direction of the engine body part. The cylinder head is configured to have an exhaust side on the left side in the engine width direction, and an intake side on the right side. The exhaust gas post-treatment device is disposed above the cylinder head so as to extend in the engine front-rear direction. The turbocharger is disposed on the exhaust side of the cylinder head and is configured to spray compressed air in the engine front-rear direction.

Diesel engine

An engine device including an exhaust manifold provided on an exhaust side surface which is a first side surface of a cylinder head and a two-stage turbocharger that is driven by exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust manifold. The two-stage turbocharger includes a high-pressure turbocharger coupled to the exhaust manifold and a low-pressure turbocharger coupled to the high-pressure turbocharger. The high-pressure turbocharger is arranged on a side of the exhaust manifold. The low-pressure turbocharger is arranged above the exhaust manifold. An exhaust gas outlet of the high-pressure turbocharger and an exhaust gas inlet of the low-pressure turbocharger are coupled with each other through a flexible high-pressure exhaust gas pipe.

This multi-cylinder engine intake structure is provided with a fresh air distribution chamber into which a plurality of fresh air distribution openings communicating with the individual intake ports are opened, and a gas collection chamber. The gas collection chamber includes a communication region into which a first communication opening communicating with the fresh air distribution chamber is opened, a first mixture region into which an air inlet and an EGR gas inlet are opened and which is positioned upstream of the communication region in a flow direction of a mixture gas of air and EGR gas, and a second mixture region positioned downstream of the communication region in the flow direction of the mixture gas.

An engine device including: an EGR device configured to circulate, as EGR gas, a portion of exhaust gas exhausted from an exhaust manifold manifold to an intake manifold; and an EGR cooler configured to cool EGR gas and supply the EGR gas to the EGR device. The EGR cooler includes a heat exchanger and a pair of flange portions. The heat exchanger has a coolant passage and an EGR gas fluid passage alternately stacked. The flange portions are disposed on the heat exchanger. An outlet of the coolant is disposed in one of the flange portions, while an inlet of the coolant is disposed in the other flange portion. An inlet of the EGR gas is disposed in one of the flange portions, while an outlet of the EGR gas is disposed in the other flange portion.

An inlet of the EGR gas is disposed in one of the flange portions, while an outlet of the EGR gas is disposed in the other flange portion.
