A measurement method includes a first measurement in which a characteristic amount of a specific analyte in a biological fluid is measured with a biosensor. The method also includes a second measurement in which motion information of living activity is measured. Additionally, the method may include recording the motion information and the characteristic amount measured in the first measurement with the motion information and characteristic amount associated with each other.

Measurement device

This liquid sample measurement device is provided with: a lancet mounting part to and from which a lancet device having a skin contact section for puncturing skin can be attached and detached; a sensor mounting part to which a biosensor, which is spotted with blood that comes out from the punctured skin, can be attached; and a measurement part that uses the biosensor attached to the sensor mounting part to measure the amounts of substances in the blood. The liquid sample measurement device includes a feature that makes it necessary to replace a lancet device that has been attached to the lance mounting part and has punctured skin, each time a lancet device is used to puncture skin.

A measurement device includes a sensor attached to a biosensor which includes a reagent that selectively responds to a specific analyte in a biological fluid, an analyte measurer that measures a concentration of the specific analyte with a biosensor, and a motion measurer that measures a motion level of the measurement device. A recorder records the concentration of the analyte and motion information, and a controller connects the analyte measurer and the motion measurer and controls the analyte measurer and the recorder based on the controller motion information. The controller includes a damage determiner that judges whether or not the measurement device is damaged, based on the motion level.

A living activity level calculator calculates a living activity level of the user based on the motion level measured by the motion measurer, a recorder records the living activity level calculated by the living activity level calculator, and a controller associates the concentration of the specific analyte measured by the analyte measurer with an event of living activity of the user, estimated based on the living activity level recorded in the recorder, and records them in the recorder.

The present liquid sample measuring device comprises a device body on which a biosensor is detachably mounted, a liquid biological sample being dispensed in drops on the biosensor; a measuring section that measures bioinformation from the liquid biological sample; a motion measuring section that measures motion information of the device body; a motion assessment section that assesses the degree of motion of the device body on the basis of the motion information of the device body measured by the motion measuring section; and a measurement controller that adjusts the measurement time for measuring the bioinformation on the basis of the assessment result of the motion assessment section.

A puncturing apparatus includes a housing having a first case and a second case, the housing configured to move at least one of the first case and the second case so that the cases are in an overlapping state in which the first case and the second case overlap one another or a non-overlapping state. A puncturer is housed in the housing and a puncture starting mechanism, having a puncturing button, is configured to activate the puncturer.
