A power transmission device has an interlocking membermoving a pressure memberfrom an inactive position to an active position. A release spring (m) applies an urging force, while allowing movements of the interlocking memberand the pressure member, until drive-side clutch platesand driven-side clutch platesreach an engaged state before the drive-side clutch platesand the driven-side clutch platesare pressed against each other. A clutch springis compressed in a process where the interlocking membermoves after the drive-side clutch platesand the driven-side clutch plateshave reached the engaged state. The clutch spring applying a press-contact force between the drive-side clutch platesand the driven-side clutch plateswhile allowing movements of the interlocking memberand the pressure member. The set load of the clutch springis set to be smaller than the maximum load of the release spring (m).

Power transmission device

A power transmission device has a first clutch membercoupled to an output member. A second clutch memberhas a plurality of driven-side clutch plates. A back-torque transmitting cam presses the drive-side clutch platesand the driven-side clutch platesagainst each other by moving the second clutch memberwhen a rotational force is input to the first clutch member. A cushioning memberis interposed between the first clutch memberand the second clutch member. The cushioning member, by being compressed, applies an urging force while allowing movements of an interlocking memberand a pressure memberin a process where the interlocking membermoves and the pressure membermoves from the inactive position toward the active position.

A power transmission device has a clutch member, a pressure member, a weight member, an interlocking memberand a bearing holding member C coupled to an activation member. The bearing holder member C holds a bearing Binterposed between the activation memberand the pressure member. The bearing holding member C has a cylindrical member with one open end. An open end portion Ca is fit into and attached to a recessed portionformed in a first clutch member

A power transmission device has a back torque transmission cam that brings driving clutch platesand driven clutch platesinto press contact with each other. A second clutch memberis moved when a rotational force is input to a first clutch membervia the output shaft. The pressure memberis located at a non-actuation position. A torque transmission portion transmits a rotational force transmitted to the second clutch memberto the first clutch membernot via the back torque transmission cam.

A power transmitting apparatus for transmitting or cutting-off the rotational driving power inputted to an input member to or from an output member by press-contacting or releasing the press-contacting force between driving-side clutch discs and driven-side clutch discs, wherein the power transmitting apparatus comprises interlocking members (e.g., a first member and second member) interlocking with the motion of the weight members from their radially inward positions to radially outward positions and movable toward a direction approaching to the pressure member; and elastic members interposed between the interlocking members and the pressure member and able to move the pressure member toward a direction for press-contacting the driving-side clutch discs and the driven-side clutch discs by urging the pressure member according to the movement of the interlocking members and also able to absorb the urging force of the pressure member applied to interlocking members when the actuating member is operated.

Power transmitting apparatus

A centrifugal clutch apparatus can include a driving-side rotational member rotatable around a shaft member connected to a driving device; clutch devices mounted on the driving-side rotational member and movable radially-outward of the driving-side rotational member. A driven-side rotational member rotatable independent from the driving-side rotational member can be arranged for covering the driving-side rotational member and can have an inner circumferential surface to engage with the clutch devices. Friction members can be adapted to be abutted against the inner circumferential surface so as to transmit the driving power of the driving device to the driven-side rotational member. The inner circumferential surface of the driven-side rotational member can be formed with a groove and a tensioning member formed as a ring-shaped member can be snap-fitted into the groove and held therein under a radially-outward biasing force.

Centrifugal clutch apparatus

A power transmission device includes an input rotary member having a pressing portion, and an output rotary member having a receiving portion to be pressed by the pressing portion. The input rotary member forces the output rotary member to rotate when resilient members disposed between the input rotary member and the output rotary member are deformed by predetermined amounts.
