A receiver paper used in combination with a thermally transferrable sheet, such as an ink ribbon, in which a laminated layer of the thermally transferrable sheet can be positively transferred, with the receiver paper exhibiting superior running performance and resistance to blocking to enable a picture of high quality and high resolution to be produced. To this end, there is provided a receiver paper made up of substrate and a dye reception layer formed on the substrate. The dye reception layer contains a copolymer of a compound having a pre-set chemical formula and another monomer.

Thermally transferred sheet

A printing paper for use in sublimation-type thermal transfer recording includes a sheet-like base and a dye receiving layer disposed thereon. The dye receiving layer is composed of a copolymer of substituted or unsubstituted phenoxypolyethylene glycol acrylate or substituted or unsubstituted phenoxypolyethylene glycol methacrylate and another monomer. The substituted or unsubstituted phenoxypolyethylene glycol acrylate or the substituted or unsubstituted phenoxypolyethylene glycol methacrylate is of a proportion of at least 50 weight % of the copolymer.

Printing paper for thermal transfer

An electrorheological fluid composition wherein inorganic/organic composite particles comprising a core 1 comprising organic polymeric compound and a shell 3 comprising inorganic microparticles 2 which are electrically semiconducting in a semiconducting region in which conductivity is within a range of 10.sup.3-10.sup.-11 .OMEGA..sup.-1 /cm at room temperature, are dispersed in an electrically insulating medium. These inorganic/organic composite particles are produced by means of a method in which the cores 1 and the shells 3 are simultaneously formed, and the surfaces thereof are preferably polished. An electrorheological fluid composition possessing electrorheological effects, having superior storage stability, capable of use over long periods, having little abrasiveness, which is not affected by environmental temperature or humidity, a current value of which is stable, and which has little power consumption.

Electrorheological fluid composition containing inorganic/organic

An electrorheological fluid which possesses high electrorheological effects, has superior storage stability and longevity, does not damage instrumentation, is unaffected by ambient temperature or humidity, has stable current values, and low power consumption, is disclosed. In the electrorheological fluid, inorganic/organic composite particles comprising a core comprising inorganic polymeric compound, and a shell comprising an inorganic material particle possessing electrorheological properties, are dispersed in an electrically insulating medium. The surfaces of these inorganic/organic composite particles may be polished, and furthermore, the inorganic/organic composite particles are preferably produced by means of a method in which the core and the shell are formed simultaneously.
