[Problem] To ensure that a fluid is prevented from overflowing from a well and exposing the user to a biohazard. [Solution] A cartridge for use in measuring a component to be measured contained in a fluid includes a recessed well, formed for storing the fluid, the well including: a lower barrel portion that defines a lower space having a closed bottom; and an upper barrel portion that is formed above the lower barrel portion and defines an upper space having an opening on the top end, wherein a step portion is formed between the lower barrel portion and the upper barrel portion, the step portion being formed on an inner wall surface of the well and defining a step that continuously connects the inner wall surface of the lower barrel portion and the inner wall surface of the upper barrel portion.

A test kit of the present invention includes an analysis chip and a pipette tip. The pipette tip includes: a first portion coming in contact with an insertion hole hermetic seal when the pipette tip is inserted into a pipette tip insertion portion so as to allow a liquid dispensation port to be positioned at or in the vicinity of a bottom surface of the pipette tip insertion portion; and a second portion positioned closer to the liquid dispensation port side than the first portion. The outer diameter of the second portion is formed to be equal to or greater than the outer diameter of the first portion and any portion between the first portion and the second portion.

Supplying a liquid to a detection chip including a housing having an opening portion and internally housing the liquid and including an elastic sheet covering the opening portion and having a penetrating portion providing communicating between the inside and the outside of the housing, specifically by inserting a liquid delivery nozzle to the housing via the penetrating portion and supplying the liquid into the housing in a state where the nozzle is in contact with the elastic sheet so as to close the penetrating portion. The penetrating portion is one of a hole and a notch. One of the maximum length of the opening of the hole and the maximum length of the notch is smaller than the outer diameter of the nozzle at a portion coming in contact with the elastic sheet when the nozzle is inserted to close the penetrating portion when a liquid is supplied into the housing.

An inspection system including at least: a sensor chip with a flow path having a reaction site for performing biological reactions; a liquid feeder that causes reaction liquid to flow into and out of the flow path; and a first temperature adjuster that adjusts temperature of reaction liquid flowed in the flow path, where the system performs reciprocal liquid feeding by the liquid feeder where some of the reaction liquid flowed in the flow path is caused to flow out of the flow path and to flow in again. The inspection system includes a second temperature adjuster that, during reciprocal liquid feeding, adjusts temperature of the reaction liquid flowed outside the flow path through temperature adjustment of a liquid holding section of the liquid feeder.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a detection method which can safely recover a remaining sample from a detection device without causing a biological disaster. In order to achieve at least one of these goals, this detection method involves: a sample collection step for collecting a sample from the sample holding well, and transferring the same to a detection chip; a detection step for detecting the detected substance captured in the detection chip by means of a detection unit; and, after the sample collection step, a remaining sample recovery step for collecting the sample remaining in the sample holding well and transferring this to a sample recovery well. At that time, after the remaining sample recovery step, the surface area of the opening in the sample recovery well is smaller than the surface area of the opening in the sample holding well.

A reaction method includes a reaction step of reacting two or more substances with each other by using a pipette tip, attached to a pipette nozzle, for sucking or discharging a liquid to supply a liquid to a reaction field and remove the liquid from the reaction field a plurality of times. In the present invention, excitation light is irradiated onto an analysis chip that has been placed in a chip holder, reflected light or transmitted light from the analysis chip is detected, and as a result the position information of the analysis chip is obtained. On the basis of this position information, the chip holder is moved by a conveyance stage and thereby moved to a measurement position.
