A method of producing an anti-slip shoe sole makes use of a shoe sole forming die having a plurality of independent, projection-forming cavities in the bottom thereof. The cavities open to a reverse side of the die through respective escape holes connected to the cavities. A foamable, unvulcanized green rubber containing hard fibers dispersed therein is set in the shoe sole forming die. Heat and pressure are applied to the unvulcanized green rubber to cause the unvulcanized green rubber to fill the cavities and further to flow into the escape holes, thereby forming a shoe sole blank having projections integral therewith. Buffing is effected on the bottom portions of the projections, thereby allowing ends of the hard fibers to appear in the ground-contact surfaces of the projections.

Method of forming anti-slip shoe sole

An air-permeable shoe including a shoe constructed of an open-cell rubber foam. A base cloth is attached to the sole or insert therein. The sole of the shoe is exposed on a side surface of the sole of the shoe wherein a top side surface of the sole is in communication with the inside of the shoe and the ambient atmosphere. The open-cell rubber foam may be a rubber latex foam having a microstructure with a compression permanent set of less than 20%.

A shoe for use in sports involving running and comprising an outer ground engaging sole, an inner foot engaging sole and a midsole therebetween, the midsole having therein, at least at the outer portion of the heel, a shock absorbing member comprising a shock absorbing synthetic resin foam layer bonded at its upper and lower surfaces to hard plates.

An antistatic material containing a base material which is rubber and/or polyvinyl cloride resin, to which are added a cationic quaternary ammonium salt and polyethylene glycol, and optionally aluminum hydroxide or calcium carbonate. The antistatic material has a low electric resistance and excellent thermal stability, and can be colored in any color.

An athletic shoe sole constructed to provide good cushioning and durability and to preclude overpronation of the foot. An outersole body progressively increases in thickness toward the inside edge of the sole from a longitudinal midline axis of thereof in a region extending from a heel portion to an arch portion of the outersole body, and is provided with a plurality of projection harder than the outersole body secured to its lower surface on an inner side of a heel portion of the outersole body and a plurality of projections softer than the outersole body secured to its lower surface on the remaining region of the outersole body. A cushioning midsole has a shape in section complementary to the thickness of the outersole body is overlaid on it.
