A turbocharger includes an actuator housing in which an actuator that drives a movable member is disposed, a compressor housing disposed adjacent to the actuator housing, and a through hole formed in the actuator housing in an area closer to the compressor housing and extending in a vertically downward direction when the actuator housing is mounted.

An actuator power transmission mechanism includes: a first lever that rotates by power of an actuator; a drive shaft that has one end fixed to the first lever and rotates integrally with the first lever; one or more nozzle vanes that are directly or indirectly coupled to the other end side of the drive shaft, rotate interlocking with the drive shaft, and adjust an inclination angle with respect to a flow direction of a fluid; and a bearing that has an insertion hole through which the drive shaft is inserted, and that rotatably supports the drive shaft, and a suppression portion that suppresses infiltration of water that runs along an outer peripheral surface of the bearing into the insertion hole is provided at the outer peripheral surface of the bearing.

Actuator power transmission mechanism and turbocharger

A shaft includes: two large-diameter portions; and a small-diameter portion formed between the two large-diameter portions. A bearing includes: an annular body in which to insert the shaft; two bearing surfaces being opposite the large-diameter portions; and an intervening surface located between the two bearing surfaces on an inner circumferential surface of the body, and being opposite the small-diameter portion with a clearance formed between the intervening surface and the small-diameter portion. No anti-corrosion treatment is applied to the large-diameter portions. An anti-corrosion treatment is applied to at least any one of: an exposed portion of an outer peripheral surface of the body of the bearing, which is exposed to the outside of the housing; the intervening surface of the bearing; an opposite end surface of the bearing; and the small-diameter portion of the shaft.

Bearing structure and turbocharger

A turbocharger includes a semi-floating metal. The semi-floating metal is provided with a supply opening configured to supply oil to an inner bearing section. The turbocharger is provided with: an oil supply path which extends from inside of a bearing housing to the supply opening, and feeds the oil to be supplied to the inner bearing section; a removal section which changes a flowing direction of the oil supplied from an upstream side to separate minute foreign matter in the oil; and a conveyance path and a retaining region which collect the minute foreign matter separated by the removal section so as to prevent the minute foreign matter from mixing again with the oil flowing toward the supply opening.
