A headlight device is a headlight device for a vehicle, including a light source unit to include a plurality of light-emitting units respectively emitting light having spectral distributions different from each other and to emit illuminating light having a combined spectral distribution as a combination of the spectral distributions of the plurality of light-emitting units, an acquisition unit to acquire environment information indicating a surrounding environment around an illumination region formed by the headlight device, and a control unit to control the spectral distributions of the plurality of light-emitting units based on the environment information acquired by the acquisition unit.

A headlight module includes a light source to emit light; and a light guide projection optical element including an incidence surface to condense the light, thereby forming a first light, a first reflecting surface to reflect partial light as part of the first light, thereby forming light in a first light distribution pattern having a cutoff line from light other than the partial light, and a second reflecting surface inclined with respect to an optical axis of the light source so as to be farther from the optical axis as a distance from the light source along the optical axis increases. The second reflecting surface forms light in a second light distribution pattern by reflecting second light formed of the partial light reflected by the first reflecting surface and adds the light in the second light distribution pattern to the light in the first light distribution pattern.

A headlight module includes: a light source; a condensing optical unit that allows light generated by the light source to enter and transforms the light into condensed light; and a light guide member including a first cutoff line formation part that forms light in a first light distribution pattern from the condensed light, a second cutoff line formation part that forms light in a second light distribution pattern from the condensed light, a first emission surface that emits light in a first illuminance distribution pattern corresponding to the first light distribution pattern, and a second emission surface that emits light in a second illuminance distribution pattern corresponding to the second light distribution pattern. Light in a combined illuminance distribution pattern obtained by adding the light in the first illuminance distribution pattern and the light in the second illuminance distribution pattern is emitted.

A light irradiation device includes a light source, a projection optical system, wedge prisms, and an aberration correction surface. The projection optical system projects an image formed based on light emitted from the light source. The aberration correction surface corrects an aberration occurring when the image is projected by the projection optical system. The wedge prism deflects the light emitted from the projection optical system. The wedge prism deflects the light deflected by the wedge prism. The wedge prisms are held so that a deflection direction of light emitted from the wedge prism is changed by rotation of at least one of the wedge prisms. The aberration correction surface is on the wedge prism side with respect to an emission surface of the projection optical system, and is located on the projection optical system side, with respect to the wedge prism, including an incidence surface of the wedge prism.

A headlight device includes a light source unit to emit first light, a first optical unit to change a light distribution pattern of incident first light, a light-reception unit to detect incident second light, a second optical unit to project the light distribution pattern in a predetermined projection direction and receive incident light traveling in a direction opposite to the projection direction, a third optical unit to emit the first light toward the second optical unit and emit incident light that has passed through the second optical unit as second light toward the light-reception unit, and a fourth optical unit to focus the second light and direct toward the light-reception unit. The light distribution pattern is controlled based on a detection result of second light in the light-reception unit.

A headlight device includes a first optical system and a second optical system. The first optical system emits first light in a predetermined emission direction. Part of an optical axis of the first optical system coincides with part of an optical axis of the second optical system in the emission direction. The second optical system includes a light receiver and a first optical part, and second light traveling in an incidence direction opposite to the emission direction is incident on the second optical system. The first optical part includes an aperture part that sets a diameter of the second light traveling toward the light receiver through the second optical system to be smaller than a diameter of the second light when entering the second optical system.

An illumination device includes a light source, a pair of wedge prisms, and a driving portion. The pair of wedge prisms deflect incident light. The driving portion includes a gear and a gear, and causes the pair of wedge prisms to rotate about a rotation axis by using the gear and the gear. A headlight module includes a first light source that emits first light, and a first optical unit. The first optical unit includes a first optical surface that reflects the first light, and a lens surface that projects illuminating light including the first light reflected by the first optical surface. An edge part of the first optical surface close to the lens surface includes a first edge part and a second edge part differing from each other in a position in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis of the lens surface, and a position of the second edge part in a direction of the optical axis is closer to the lens surface than a position of the first edge part in the direction of the optical axis.

A headlight module includes: a light source for emitting light; a condensing optical element for concentrating the light; and an optical element including an incident surface for receiving the concentrated light, a reflecting surface for reflecting the received light, and an emitting surface for emitting the reflected light. The condensing optical element changes a divergence angle of the light to form a light distribution pattern. The reflected light and light that enters the optical element and is not reflected by the reflecting surface are superposed on a plane including a point located at a focal position of the emitting surface in a direction of an optical axis of the emitting surface and being perpendicular to the optical axis, thereby forming a high luminous intensity region in the light distribution pattern on the plane. The emitting surface has positive refractive power and projects the light distribution pattern formed on the plane.

A headlight device includes an optical unit to emit light and a support mechanism to support the optical unit. The optical unit includes supported pins as a first supported part and supported groove parts as a second supported part. The support mechanism includes support groove parts as a first support part that is provided on a first straight line in a predetermined first direction and contacts the supported pins and support pins as a second support part that is provided on a second straight line in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and contacts the supported groove parts. The support mechanism supports the optical unit to be freely rotatable around the first straight line passing through the support groove parts and freely rotatable around the second straight line passing through the support pins.

A light irradiation device includes a light source, an optical member and a sensor. The light source emits light. The optical member is supported so as to rotate around a rotation axis and includes a prism part that emits detection light based on the light. The sensor receives the detection light and detects a light amount of the detection light. The light amount of the detection light received by the sensor changes depending on a position of the optical member in a rotation direction when the optical member rotates.
