An automated parking device is provided with a disembarking guidance unit. In the case that an obstruction is determined to exist in the vicinity of a parking capable frame in accordance with a parking initiation instruction, then before a host vehicle enters the parking capable frame by an automated parking operation performed by a vehicle control unit, the disembarking guidance unit provides guidance to prompt vehicle occupants to disembark at a disembarking position that is based on an adjusted parking position, the positions of the vehicle occupants, and the position of the obstruction.

A thin, film-form seating switch able to detect whether an occupant sits on the seat or not, wherein, with a spacer () in-between, a film-form substrate () is disposed on one surface of the spacer and a film-form member () on the other surface, a first conductor () equipped with a first terminal () and a first electrode (A) conductive with this and a second conductor () equipped with a second terminal () and a second electrode (A) conductive with this are fixed to one surface of the film-form substrate, and a third conductor (A) for letting the first electrode conduct with the second electrode when an occupant is seated is fixed to the film-form member (). The above arrangement solves a conventional problem that it is troublesome to connect the connection terminals of wires or the like provided on a wiring harness or the like to respective terminals that are separately provided on a film-form substrate and a film-form member.

A vehicle occupant sensing system includes a plurality of image pickup devices arranged to capture a three-dimensional image in a region including at least a cover part of the front airbag system and an upper part of the front passenger seat, and a signal processing unit for processing image signals taken by the image pickup devices to determine a three-dimensional position of the captured image. The signal processing unit is configured to determine a three-dimensional position of a part of the captured image pertaining to the cover part and includes a storage section which stores in advance a reference three-dimensional position corresponding to an external configuration of the cover part, and a comparing section which compares the three-dimensional position of the image part pertaining to the cover part with the reference three-dimensional position to determine if there is an object placed on the cover part.

The passenger's weight measurement device includes an upper rail disposed to be movable back and forth on a lower rail fixed to a vehicle floor; a load sensor fixed on the upper rail; and a frame disposed on the load sensor and below a vehicle seat, wherein a rod extends from the load sensor to penetrate the frame and to be inserted into an insertion hole formed in a center of a leaf spring, the leaf spring is curved into an angle shape to separate the center of the leaf spring from the frame, a nut is engaged with the rod on the leaf spring, and both hems of the leaf spring abut on the frame in a state that the leaf spring is fastened by the nut.

A seat-weight sensor includes a load cell having a load sensor arranged therein and a support for holding a support shaft of the load cell. The support includes a convex portion to hold the support shaft and a pair of flange portions arranged at both sides of the convex portion and fixed to a vehicle floor side. The support has a pair of slots arranged at a perimeter of the convex portion and for reducing a physical effect that the pair of flanges provides to the convex portion.
