An upper limb rehabilitation support device includes a first handle that is connected with a first rotating shaft, gripped by a trainee's right hand and rotated, a second handle that is connected with a second rotating shaft, gripped by a trainee's left hand and rotated, a connecting part structured so as to connect the first rotating shaft and the second rotating shaft with each other and interlock rotations of the first handle and the second handle, and a switching part structured so as to switch directions of the rotations of the first handle and the second handle, which are interlocked by the connecting part, with respect to the other handles when one of the first handle and the second handle rotates.

An upper-limb rehabilitation assisting device includes first and second handles coupled to first and second rotating shafts and rotationally operated by hands on a paralytic limb side and a healthy limb side; first and second biosignal detecting parts that detect first and second biosignals corresponding to the paralytic limb side and the healthy limb side; first and second drive parts that drive the first and second rotating shafts; and a control part that performs a cooperative control of the first rotating shaft and the second rotating shaft. A rehabilitation device includes: an operation unit operated by a patient under rehabilitation; an operation amount detection unit that detects an operation amount of the operation unit; a driving unit that applies torque to the operation unit; a control unit that controls driving of the driving unit; and a movement state detection unit that detects a movement state of a moving part of the patient. The control unit calculates a target value of the operation amount to be performed on the operation unit based on the movement state detected by the movement state detection unit and a predetermined movement model and controls the driving unit so that the operation amount detected by the operation amount detection unit follows the calculated target value of the operation amount.

A control apparatus for a reformer and a method of controlling the reformer are provided. The reformer gasifies a reformate fuel by a reforming reaction, supplies the obtained reformate gas to an energy converter to convert the reformate gas into energy of another form, and heats the reformate fuel by burning emission containing unreacted flammable gas produced in the energy converter. The control apparatus comprises a reforming amount assessing device for assessing the amount of the reformate fuel to be gasified, and an emission amount assessing device for assessing the amount of emission to be supplied into the reformer on the basis of the assessed amount of reformate fuel. When using the unreacted hydrogen gas generated in a fuel cell for heating the reformate fuel, the unreacted hydrogen gas and combustion aid gas can be controlled so that the reformate fuel is heated properly.

A fuel reforming apparatus has a heating device, a reformer, and a CO oxidizing device. The heating device has a burning device for oxidizing fuel for burning with air and a vaporizing device for vaporizing the raw fuel. The control device for the fuel reforming apparatus has a raw fuel quantity determinator and a target temperature setting means for setting the target temperature of the raw fuel. The raw fuel quantity determinator determines a quantity of raw fuel supplied to the heating device. On the basis of the quantity of raw fuel supplied to the heating device by the determination of the raw fuel quantity determinator, the target temperature setting means sets a target temperature of the raw fuel. The heating device then heats the raw fuel to the predetermined target temperature by the control of the above-mentioned control device.

Thereby, the amount of oxygen for oxidizing carbon monoxide contained in the reformate gas is adjusted appropriately, and a high-quality reformate gas can be obtained.

The amount of oxygen supplied for the partial oxidation reaction is determined based on an amount of the raw material and on theoretical endothermic values and exothermic values of the respective reforming reaction and partial oxidation reaction.
