A shell layer of a toner particle includes first resin particles containing no charge control agent and second resin particles containing a charge control agent. A number average particle diameter of the first resin particles is at least 30 nm and no greater than 60 nm, and a number average particle diameter of the second resin particles is at least 30 nm and no greater than 60 nm. A shell coverage is at least 60% and no greater than 80%. A shell chargeable ratio is at least 0.10 and no greater than 0.20. A roughness of surface regions of toner particles in which no external additive is present is at least 10 nm and no greater than 15 nm.

Electrostatic latent image developing toner

An electrostatic latent image developing toner contains a plurality of toner particles. The toner particles each include a toner mother particle and an external additive. The toner mother particle includes a toner core and a shell layer disposed over a surface of the toner core. The shell layer contains a thermosetting resin and a thermoplastic resin. The toner mother particles have a surface roughness of no less than 10 nm and no greater than 15 nm. The toner mother particles have a surface adsorbability of no less than 10 nN and no greater than 20 nN.

A toner includes a plurality of toner particles each including a core and a shell layer disposed over a surface of the core. The shell layers include a resin containing a unit derived from a thermoplastic resin and a unit derived from a monomer or prepolymer of a thermosetting resin. The toner has an average roundness of no less than 0.965 and no greater than 0.975. The toner contains less than 0.5% by number of toner particles having a roundness of no greater than 0.85. The toner has a displacement rate of no less than 0.50% and no greater than 0.70% as measured in a micro-compression test that is performed on the toner under specified conditions.

Toner

A toner includes a plurality of toner particles that each include a toner mother particle and an external additive adhering to a surface of the toner mother particle. The toner mother particle includes a core and a shell layer disposed over a surface of the core. The external additive contains silica particles. The toner mother particle has a hydrophobicity of at least 0% and less than 20%. The external additive has a hydrophobicity of at least 5% and no greater than 20%. The hydrophobicity of the toner mother particle is less than the hydrophobicity of the external additive.

Toner and method of manufacturing same

A magnetic toner for developing an electrostatic latent image of the present disclosure includes toner particles each having a toner core containing a binder resin and a magnetic powder, and a shell layer coating a surface of the toner core. The shell layer contains a unit derived from a monomer of a thermosetting resin and a unit derived from a thermoplastic resin. The thermosetting resin is one or more resins selected from the group of amino resins consisting of a melamine resin, a urea resin, and a glyoxal resin. The amount of iron eluted from the toner core (iron concentration in a filtrate) measured by a specified method is 10 mg/L or less.

Magnetic toner for developing electrostatic latent image

There is disclosed a toner for electrostatic latent image development which includes at least a colorant, a charge control agent, and a release agent in a binder resin and is produced using a pulverizing process. An average circularity of the toner is 0.960 or more and 0.980 or less with respect to toner particles having a primary particle diameter of 3 &#x3bc;m or more and 10 &#x3bc;m or less. A numerical proportion of toner particles, having a concave portion of which outer diameter is 200 nm or more and being observed by a predetermined condition, is 10% by number or less.

Toner for electrostatic latent image development and method of producing toner for electrostatic latent image development

A toner for magnetic single-component development, which contains at least a binder resin which is a polyester resin, magnetic powder, and a charge control resin, wherein the ratio (%) of the area of the charge control resin present on the surface of the toner particles with respect to the area of the toner particles on an electron microscope image is made to be in a predetermined range corresponding to the particle diameter of the toner particles.
