According to an aspect, an illumination device includes: a light distribution controller having a light distribution control region in which a transmission region of light is changeable; a plurality of types of light sources each disposed at a position facing the light distribution controller; and a controller configured to control operation of the light distribution controller and the plurality of types of light sources. The light distribution controller includes a plurality of liquid crystal panels stacked in a facing direction of the light distribution controller and the light source.

Illumination device

According to an aspect, a display system includes: a display apparatus; and a mirror apparatus configured to reflect an image from the display apparatus and project the image on a projection plate. The mirror apparatus includes: a region configured to reflect the image and divided into a plurality of partial regions; a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of each of the partial regions; a liquid crystal mirror disposed facing the temperature sensor and configured to be switched between a reflective state in which incident light is reflected and a transmissive state in which incident light is transmitted; and a control circuit configured to control the reflective state and the transmissive state in each of the partial regions depending on the temperature detected in the partial region.

Display system

A head-up display includes: display panels, and a light guide configured to direct light from the display panels such that projection positions of images from display regions of the display panels join on the projection target. At least one of time division control and multiple display control is applied to the display panels. The time division control is operation control of the display panels such that the display panels project images at different timings. The multiple display control is operation control of the display panels in which partial regions are set in each display region such that the number of the partial regions corresponds to the number of the display panels, an image is output in one of the partial regions in the display region of each display panel such that the positions of the images projected by the display panels on the projection target differ from one another.

Head-up display

According to an aspect, a display device, includes: a display panel having a display region in which a plurality of pixels are provided; a plurality of temperature sensors; and a control integrated circuit (IC) configured to control operations of the display panel and the temperature sensors. A plurality of temperature detection regions in which the temperature sensors are arranged are provided to overlap the display region. The display region has a plurality of partial regions that overlap the temperature detection regions, respectively. The control IC is provided capable of controlling the display region on a partial region basis. At least either signal lines of the display panel or scan lines of the display panel, and the temperature sensors are coupled to the control IC.

Display device

A display system includes: a transmissive liquid crystal display panel; a scattering panel having a scattering area provided with a scattering portion; a temperature detector having a temperature detection area provided with a resistor element; a light source configured to emit projection light to the liquid crystal display panel; and a controller configured to control operations of the scattering panel and the light source based on an output of the temperature detector corresponding to a temperature of the resistor element. A display area of the liquid crystal display panel, the scattering area, and the temperature detection area overlap one another. The projection light that has passed through the display area and the scattering area is projected onto a light-transmitting projection target. When an output indicating that the temperature of the resistor element is a predetermined temperature or higher is acquired, the controller causes the scattering portion to scatter light.

Display system and head-up display

A temperature detection device includes: a detection part in which a first resistor element and a second resistor element having different relations between temperature variation and variation in an electric resistance value are provided; a switch provided capable of performing a switching operation so as to be coupled to one of a first circuit including wiring to which the first resistor element is coupled and a second circuit including wiring to which the second resistor element is coupled; a power supply circuit configured to apply a voltage to the one circuit coupled to the power supply circuit through the switch to generate an electric signal in the one circuit; and a controller configured to detect a temperature of the detection part based on a strength of the electric signal output from the one circuit. The controller is configured to periodically cause the switch to perform the switching operation.

Temperature detection device, display device, and head up display

A display system includes: a transmissive liquid crystal display panel; a light control panel having an active area with a light control area; a temperature detector provided in the liquid crystal display panel and having a detection area with a resistive element; a backlight; and a controller. A display area of the liquid crystal display panel, the active area, and the detection area overlap on an optical path of a projection light. The light control panel is disposed at such an angle that, when the light control area is in a light reflection state, the light control panel reflects external light to a position out of the optical path and different from a position of the liquid crystal display panel. The controller causes the light control area to reflect light when an output indicating that the resistive element has a predetermined temperature or higher is obtained.

According to an aspect, a display device includes: a display panel including a display surface; a sensor configured to detect an external object in proximity to or in contact with the display surface; an ultraviolet light emitter configured to emit ultraviolet light to the display surface; and a controller configured to control an operation of the ultraviolet light emitter. The controller increases an emission amount of ultraviolet light from the ultraviolet light emitter as the object approaches the display surface, and reduces the emission amount of ultraviolet light from the ultraviolet light emitter as the object recedes from the display surface.

Display device and sterilization device

A display system in an embodiment according to the present invention includes a display panel, a backlight located at a back surface side of the display panel and that emits light toward the display panel, a reflective panel located at a front surface side of the display panel and having a light receiving surface inclined obliquely in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis of the backlight, and a magnifying mirror disposed at a position where a reflected light from the reflective panel is received. The reflective panel includes a reflection region and a transmission region in the light receiving surface, and a position and a size of the reflection region and the transmission region are variable.

A liquid crystal display device with a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal interposed between the first and the second substrates, and a detection circuit. The second substrate includes a detection electrode for a touch panel. The respective pixels have pixel electrodes and counter electrodes. The counter electrode divided into a plurality of blocks is provided common to the respective pixels on a plurality of consecutive display lines. The counter electrode divided into blocks serves as the scanning electrode for the touch panel. The detection circuit includes a calibration capacity element provided for each of the detection electrodes, is having one end connected to the detection electrode, and supplies a calibration voltage to the other end of the calibration capacity element in a touched position detection process.

Liquid crystal display device

A liquid crystal display device with a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal interposed between the first and the second substrates, and a detection circuit. The second substrate includes a detection electrode for a touch panel. The respective pixels have pixel electrodes and counter electrodes. The counter electrode divided into a plurality of blocks is provided common to the respective pixels on a plurality of consecutive display lines. The counter electrode divided into blocks serves as the scanning electrode for the touch panel. The detection circuit includes a calibration capacity element provided for each of the detection electrodes, having one end connected to the detection electrode, and supplies a calibration voltage to the other end of the calibration capacity element in a touched position detection process.
