A stapler for performing binding processing of binding a sheet with a staple, the stapler includes: a driver unit configured to drive the staple to the sheet; a bending unit configured to bend a staple leg of the staple that is driven by the driver unit and penetrates the sheet; a single motor configured to operate the driver unit and the bending unit; a coupling portion coupling the driver unit and the bending unit on one side in a direction orthogonal to a sheet passing direction of the sheet passing between the driver unit and the bending unit and along the sheet surface in the case of performing the binding processing; and a transmission unit configured to transmit a driving force of the motor to at least one of the driver unit or the bending unit via the coupling portion.

Stapler

An electric stapler includes: a binding part configured to bind a sheet bundle by striking out a staple having a crown portion and leg portions; and a first guide part configured to guide the sheet bundle to the binding part, and a second guide part facing the first guide part. The first guide part and the second guide part face each other at a distance. The first guide part and the second guide part are opened therebetween as both sides along a length direction of the crown portion, and one side away from the binding part are coupled each other. Lengths from end portions on one side, which are away from the binding part along the direction orthogonal to the length direction of the crown portion, of the first guide part and the second guide part to the binding part are 15 mm or longer.

Electric stapler

A pair of tooth portions has a plurality of convex portions and is arranged to engage with each other when approaching each other. The convex portion of at least one tooth portion of the pair of tooth portions has, on an opposing surface thereof opposing the convex portion of the other tooth portion, an abutting surface abutting against the convex portion of the other tooth portion when the pair of tooth portions is engaged with each other and a non-abutting surface not abutting against the convex portion of the other tooth portion when the pair of tooth portions is engaged with each other.

Teeth part, binder, paper-processing apparatus, and image formation system

An electric stapler is provided with: a base (B); and a stapler main body () arranged on the base (B). The stapler main body () is provided with: a driver unit () including a driver for driving a staple (S) to pierce through sheets of paper (P); a clincher unit () including a clincher for clinching the driven staple; and a table () provided on one of the driver unit () and the clincher unit (). The stapler main body () is supported to be displacable with respect to the base (B). The table () is configured to be movable between a first position and a second position apart from the first position in a direction where the driver drives the staple, in accordance with a displacement of the stapler main body () with respect to the base (B).

A binder includes a back part disposed between ring parts, each of the ring parts being openable and closable. to constitute a binder. A penetration hole is formed at a portion of the ring parts intersecting with the back part, thereby allowing the binder to expand and contract to a certain degree in a longitudinal direction thereof.

Binder

An electric stapler is operated by a paper bundle pinching step of relatively moving a table part and a driver unit and also pinching a paper bundle; a staple separation step of folding a staple into U-shape by a forming plate and also separating the folded U-shape staple from a staple sheet by moving a driver; a penetration step of penetrating legs of the staple into the paper bundle by further moving the driver; a clinch step of inward folding the legs by a clinch device; and a paper bundle releasing step. A relative movement of the table part and the driver unit, the forming plate, the driver, and the clinch device are powered by a single motor. A driving speed of the motor in the steps excluding the penetration step and the clinch step is slower than the driving speed of the motor in the penetration step and the clinch step.

To provide a paper-sheet-loading device that makes it easy to take out booklet or the like loaded on a tray. The paper-sheet-loading deviceis provided with a discharge-processing portionwhich discharges the booklet or the like through a discharge portion and a discharged paper stackerhaving a loading stageon which the booklet or the like discharged from the discharge-processing portionis loaded. The loading stageis provided with a trayon which the booklet or the like is loaded and which can be pulled out from the front side of the device and an auxiliary loading memberclosing the lower side of a rear side of the traywhen the trayis pulled out. The auxiliary loading memberhas a shape after a loading faceof the trayand becomes exposed continuously from the lower side of the trayto the rear side thereof, thereby enabling the booklet or the like to be loaded without losing its balance.

Paper sheet stacking device, and bookbinding device

A binder is configured such that a plane portion is formed on an outer peripheral surface of at least one ring part at a portion intersecting with a back part of the binder, and such that, when a binder holding member of a binding processing machine holds the binder, the plane portion of the binder contacts with a plane table provided on the binder holding member. Because the binder contacts the plane table on the binder holding member when the binder holding member holds the binder, the binder is held in such a state that the binder cannot incline or rotate. Thus, a binding processing operation can be carried out in the binding processing machine while the binder is held in a regular orientation. Accordingly, a mounting failure due to an inclined orientation of the binder and be resolved.
