An electrolytic capacitor according to the present invention employs a capacitor element wherein an anode foil having an anode internal terminal and a cathode foil having a cathode internal terminal are wound or laminated through a separator. The end of the anode foil faces with the cathode foil through the separator and the surface area of the cathode internal terminal is provided with an enlargement treatment, whereby the small area portion of the cathode foil that faces with the anode foil is eliminated, and the charge/discharge characteristics are thus improved. Furthermore, in the electrolytic capacitor provided with the capacitor element wherein the anode foil having the anode internal terminal and the cathode foil having the cathode internal terminal are wound or laminated through the separator, the capacitor element being impregnated with an electrolyte, the cathode internal terminal is composed of an aluminum material, the surface of the cathode internal terminal is etched and the concentration of iron in the etching layer is less than 300 ppm.

Electrolytic capacitor for use in a charge/discharge circuit with shorter period and greater voltage difference

Disclosed is a polymerization solution for electrolytic polymerization having a small environmental load, having excellent economic efficiency and capable of producing a conductive polymer exhibiting excellent heat resistance. The polymerization solution has: a solvent consisting of 100 to 80% by mass of water and 0 to 20% by mass of an organic solvent; at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of 3,4-disubstituted thiophenes; and at least one organic non-sulfonate supporting electrolyte having an anion with the molecular weight of 200 or more. A conductive polymer film densely filled with polymer particles is obtained by performing electrolytic polymerization using the polymerization solution. A polymer electrode provided with the conductive polymer film exerts excellent heat resistance and the electrochemical activity of the polymer electrode will hardly deteriorate even when being subjected to high temperatures. Moreover, a solid electrolyte capacitor containing the conductive polymer layer obtained by performing electrolytic polymerization using the polymerization solution exhibits low dielectric loss and equivalent series resistance and exerts excellent heat resistance.

Disclosed is a polymerization solution for electrolytic polymerization containing borodisalicylic acid and/or a salt thereof as a supporting electrolyte, in which precipitation due to the hydrolysis of borodisalicylate ions is inhibited and which provides a conductive polymer exhibiting excellent heat resistance. The polymerization solution has: a solvent consisting of 100 to 80% by mass of water and 0 to 20% by mass of an organic solvent; at least one monomer having a &#x3c0;-conjugated double bond; at least one supporting electrolyte selected from the group consisting of borodisalicylic acid and borodisalicylic salts; and at least one stabilizing agent selected from the group consisting of nitrobenzene and nitrobenzene derivatives, and the content of the stabilizing agent content is more than &#x215b; mol per 1 mol of the supporting electrolyte. A complex is formed by the stabilizing agent and borodisalicylic acid, and the formation of precipitation due to the hydrolysis of borodisalicylate ions is inhibited.

Flame-retardant electrolytic capacitor

Disclosed is an electrode body for a solar cell, which is capable of being used as a component of both an organic thin-film solar cell and a dye-sensitized solar cell, and has excellent heat resistance. This electrode body for a solar cell is provided with a substrate with a conductive part at least on the surface and a conductive polymer layer located on the conductive part of the substrate, in which the conductive polymer layer includes: a polymer derived from at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of 3,4-disubstituted thiophenes; and an anion as a dopant to the polymer generated from at least one organic non-sulfonate compound having an anion with the molecular weight of 200 or more. Additionally, the density of the conductive polymer layer is in the range of 1.15 to 1.80 g/cm. The dense conductive polymer layer including the anion as a dopant exhibits excellent heat resistance.

Electrode body for solar cell, method for producing the electrode body, and solar cell provided with the electrode body

A hydrophobic film is formed on the electrode foil surface by adding a straight-chain saturated dicarboxylic acid represented by the general formula: HOOC(CH)COOH (wherein n indicates an integer from 9 to 11) to the electrolytic solution for medium/high-voltage electrolytic capacitor. Addition of a large amount of water to the electrolytic solution is allowed since this hydrophobic film suppresses the hydration reaction between the electrode foil and water. Further, it is possible to retain good lifespan property of the electrolytic capacitor in a medium/high-voltage electrolytic solution by having low specific resistance property and by suppressing the hydration decomposition of the electrode foil, wherein the electrolytic solution is azelaic acid, sebacic acid, 1-methyl-azelaic acid, 1,6-decanedicarboxylic acid, or a salt thereof dissolved in a solvent having ethylene glycol as the main component.

Electrolytic solution for electrolytic capacitor

Disclosed are an aluminum electrolytic capacitor having low impedance properties and a long service life, and an electrolytic solution which enables to give such capacitor. The electrolytic solution contains a solvent containing water, a phosphorus oxoacid ion-generating compound which can generate a phosphorus oxoacid ion in an aqueous solution, and a chelating agent which can coordinate with aluminum to form an aqueous aluminum chelate complex. The electrolytic solution further contains a compound selected from the group consisting of azelaic acid and an azelaic acid salt, and a compound selected from the group consisting of formic acid, a formic acid salt, adipic acid, an adipic acid salt, glutaric acid and a glutaric acid salt. The content of azelaic acid and/or the azelaic acid salt is at least 0.03 moles per kg of the solvent. When the electrolytic solution is used in an electrolytic capacitor which utilizes an anode having an aluminum oxide film containing phosphorus in an amount of 30 to 150 mg per unit CV product in terms of phosphoric acid, the service life of the capacitor is remarkably prolonged.

Electrolysis solution for electrolytic capacitor, and electrolytic capacitor

An electrolytic capacitor having a low impedance characteristic, having a high withstand voltage characteristic of 100V class, wherein the electrolytic capacitor provides an excellent high temperature life characteristic. The electrolyte solution containing the aluminum tetrafluoride salt is used. The moisture content of the capacitor element is adjusted to 0.7% by weight or less, wit respect to the weight of the capacitor element, preferably 0.5% by weight or less, and most preferably 0.4% by weight or less. In this way, the electrolytic capacitor having the low impedance characteristic and the high resistance voltage characteristic, and the excellent high temperature life characteristic is provided.

Electrolytic capacitor manufacturing method

Electrolyte solution and an electrolytic capacitor using it having a low impedance characteristic, having a high withstand voltage characteristic of 100V class, and a high temperature life characteristic is provided. The electrolyte solution containing an aluminum tetrafluoride salt, and a solvent with high boiling point, such as sulfolane, 3-methyl sulfolane, and 2,4-dimethyl sulfolane, and the like are used. The electrolytic capacitor of the present invention has a low impedance characteristic, a high withstand voltage characteristic, and an excellent high temperature life characteristic.

Electrolyte for electrolytic capacitor and electrolytic capacitor containing the same

An electrolytic capacitor having a low impedance characteristic, having a high withstand voltage characteristic of 100V class, wherein the electrolytic capacitor provides an excellent high temperature life characteristic and an excellent leakage characteristic. The electrolyte solution containing the aluminum tetrafluoride salt is used. The electrolytic capacitor of the present invention has a low impedance characteristic, a high withstand voltage characteristic, and an excellent high temperature life characteristic. Moreover, the aforementioned electrolyte solution is used, and a foil showing noble potential at least in the electrolyte solution than the electrode potential of the cathode tab, or a cathode electrode foil subjected to chemical treatment is used as the cathode electrode foil, so as to obtain an excellent leakage characteristic.

Electrolytic capacitor

An electrolytic capacitor having a low impedance characteristic, and a high withstand voltage characteristic in the 100V class, provides excellent high temperature life and leakage characteristics. An electrolyte solution containing an aluminum tetrafluoride salt is used. Moreover, a ceramics coating layer or an insulating synthetic resin layer is formed at a contact portion with a sealing component of a rivet or a cathode leading means. Alternatively, a partial cross-linking peroxide butyl rubber with added peroxide as a cross-linking agent to a butyl rubber polymer containing isobutylene, isoprene, and divinylbenzene copolymer is used as the sealing member. The electrolytic capacitor of the present invention has a low impedance characteristic, a high withstand voltage characteristic, and an excellent high temperature life characteristic.

An object of the present invention is to provide an electrolyte for an electrolytic capacitor, which is advantageous not only in that both electric conductivity and withstand voltage property are high, but also in that thermal stability is excellent, and an electrolytic capacitor using the electrolyte. Specifically, the present invention provides an electrolyte for an electrolytic capacitor, comprising a solvent, at least one quaternary amidinium salt selected from the group consisting of a quaternary amidinium salt of a hydroxy-substituted aromatic monocarboxylic acid and a quaternary amidinium salt of phthalic acid, and metal oxide particles, and an electrolytic capacitor using the electrolyte.
