A tape feeder (part feeding device) includes a main body including a transporting passage for guiding a part feeding tape to a part removing position, a conveyor for positioning a storage of the part feeding tape which is inserted to the transporting passage to the part removing position, and a part detector for detecting the part stored in the storage in the transporting passage at the upstream side of the part removing position. The transporting passage includes a travelling surface for supporting the part feeding tape from underneath, a pair of side guides for guiding two side surfaces of the part feeding tape, and a squeezed portion in which a distance between the pair of side guides is gradually reduced from the upstream side of the part detector toward a part detecting position of the part detector.

Part feeding device and part mounting apparatus

A part feeding device of the present disclosure includes a main body; a conveyor; and a part detector. At a position further upstream than the part detector, the transporting passage includes a guide surface for guiding the lower surface of the part feeding tape, and a ceiling surface which faces the guide surface and is positioned at a position upwardly apart from the guide surface by the dimension larger than the thickness of the part feeding tape having the maximum thickness to be used in the part feeding device. The transporting passage includes a partial guide surface which supports the lower surface of the part feeding tape, and the partial guide surface includes an approaching portion approaching a ceiling surface in a downstream direction.

An electronic component supply apparatus transports a component supply tape having accommodation sections in which electronic components are accommodated and that supplies each of the electronic components accommodated in each of the accommodation sections to a component mounting apparatus. The electronic component supply apparatus includes a component depletion determining unit that determines that the electronic components are depleted in the component supply tape when a determination result of a component presence/absence determining unit is 'absence' or determination results of the component presence/absence determining unit are 'absence' a plurality of consecutive times; and a tape discharge processing unit that causes a component supply tape transport unit to transport the depleted component supply tape to a discharge port after a final component is picked up at a component picking-up position after the component depletion determining unit determines component depletion.

Electronic component supply apparatus and method of processing component supply tape in electronic component supply apparatus

An electronic component supply apparatus that transports a component supply tape which has accommodation sections and sprocket holes and which accommodates an electronic component in each of the accommodation sections and is covered with a cover tape, to a component picking-up position and that supplies the electronic component to a component mounting apparatus, the electronic component supply apparatus includes a sprocket hole detecting unit that detects a sprocket hole on the upstream side on a transport path from the component picking-up position; an electronic component detecting unit that detects an electronic component accommodated in the accommodation section on the transport path on the upstream side from the component picking-up position; and a component presence/absence determining unit that determines presence or absence of an electronic component in the accommodation section based on information from the sprocket hole detecting unit and information from the electronic component detecting unit.

Electronic component supply apparatus

A part detecting device of a carrier tape includes a transporting passage, a part detector, and a biasing mechanism that presses the part detector against the carrier tape inside the transporting passage. The carrier tape is transported to the transporting passage. The part detector detects parts stored in storages which are formed on the carrier tape passing through the transporting passage at regular intervals.

The electronic component supply apparatus includes an electronic component detecting unit that detects the electronic component accommodated in the accommodation section of the component supply tape which has yet to pass the cover tape processing unit on a transport path; a determination unit that determines presence or absence of an electronic component in the accommodation section based on information from the electronic component detecting unit; and a control unit that controls a component supply tape transport unit based on a determination result of the determination unit.
