To effectively cover a coil end with a resin layer. A method for manufacturing a stator includes a first resin layer forming step (ii) of forming a first thermoset resin layer by impregnating the tip end side of a coil end with first thermoset resin, the coil end protruding from the core of the stator, the first thermoset resin having liquidity; a second resin layer forming step (iii) of forming a second thermoset resin layer on the first thermoset resin layer by dropping second thermoset resin from the core side of the coil end toward the tip end side; and a curing step of curing the first thermoset resin and the second thermoset resin.

Method for manufacturing a stator

A manufacturing method for an electric motor stator includes an injecting step in which thermosetting resin is injected into a forming die, a dipping step in which a coil end portion is dipped into the thermosetting resin injected into the forming die, a heating step in which the thermosetting resin inside the forming die is heated so as to form a molded portion, and a mold release step in which the molded portion is released from the forming die when at least either shear force of the thermosetting resin or adhesive strength between the coil end portion and the thermosetting resin becomes greater than previously-determined mold release force.

A gas sensor element includes: an electrolyte body; a target gas chamber; a reference gas chamber; a first electrode coming into contact with the electrolyte in the target gas chamber; a second electrode coming into contact with the electrolyte body in the reference gas chamber so as to hold the electrolyte body between the first electrode and the second electrode; a diffusion layer arranged to come into contact with the electrolyte body and configured to deliver the target gas to the target gas chamber; and a shielding layer arranged to come into contact with the diffusion layer so as to arrange the diffusion layer between the electrolyte body and the shielding layer. At least one of the electrolyte body and the shielding layer is provided with a concave section depressed from an interface side with the diffusion layer.

A production method for producing an oxygen sensor, includes spinning a precursor consisting of a salt of at least one metal chosen from Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Ho, Yb, Sr, Ba, Mn, Co, Mg, and Ga, a solvent, and a macromolecular polymer to produce nanofibers of the precursor containing the salt of the metal. The method further includes calcining the nanofibers of the precursor at a temperature ranging from 550&#xb0; C. to 650&#xb0; C. for 2 to 4 hours, and making a solid electrolyte material composed of the nanofibers obtained from the calcining. The resulting solid electrolyte material constitutes a part of the oxygen sensor.

The invention provides a method for manufacturing an oxygen sensor that is excellent in responsiveness and can be preferably used for diagnosis of catalyst deterioration. An oxygen sensorequipped with an oxygen sensor elementcomprising a solid electrolyteand Pt coatings, as a pair of electrodes, on both surfaces of the solid electrolyteis manufactured. The method comprises at least steps of: providing a Pt coatingon at least one of the solid electrolytesurfaces exposed to the gas to be tested so as to form closed poresinside the Pt coating; and heating either the Pt coatingorexposed to gas to be tested in a gas atmosphere with higher oxygen concentration than that of the atmospheric gas.

Method for manufacturing oxygen sensor

A manufacturing method for an oxygen sensor that includes an oxygen sensor element includes: coating both surfaces of a solid electrolyte element of the oxygen sensor element with Pt films as a pair of electrodes; and heating at least one of the coated Pt films, coated on a side exposed to measured gas, in a gas atmosphere having a higher oxygen gas concentration than atmospheric gas to align a crystal orientation of the at least one of the Pt films with a (001) plane.
