A power source apparatus with a saving in wiring, large noise immunity and an additional function is achieved by connecting AC input bus lines (Vin+), (Vin&#x2212;), DC output bus lines (Vo+), (Vo&#x2212;) and a current balance signal bus line (CB) for connecting first, second, third power source unitsthrough connectors to form a module power source and connecting an additional function unitfor adding a predetermined additional function to the module power source using the bus lines to this module power source through a connector.

Power source apparatus

The power supply unit comprises a power supply circuit accommodating chamber A and an arithmetic circuit accommodating chamber B partitioned from each other by a partition wall, and power supply circuit substrates and and an arithmetic circuit substrate are accommodated in the power supply circuit accommodating chamber A and the arithmetic circuit accommodating chamber B, respectively. A connector of the power supply circuit substrate and a connector of the arithmetic circuit substrate are connected to each other through the partition wall of the power supply circuit accommodating chamber A and the arithmetic circuit accommodating chamber B.

Power supply unit

A power supply module includes a plurality of power supply modules. One of the power supply units is designated as a master power supply unit. Other power supply units are handled as expansion power supply units. The power supply modules can be connected in parallel on a DIN rail so that the master power supply unit may supply an external AC voltage to the expansion power supply units. When a desired power supply capacity exceeds a power supply capacity of the master power supply unit, an expansion power supply unit is connected in parallel with the master power supply unit in order to increase the power supply capacity.
