The invention provides a fastener stringer for a concealed slide fastener in which right and left fastener tapes respectively include a tape body portion, a tape bend portion bent into a U-shape and an element mounting portion, a hollow weave portion is formed at each fastener tape, and a film body is accommodated in the hollow weave portion in a state of being sewn together with a fastener element as one side edge thereof being located to the tape bend portion side from a sewing thread. Accordingly, since stiffness of the hollow weave portion is improved by the film body, a closely-contacted state between the right and left tape bend portions is stably maintained and concealing characteristics of the concealed slide fastener can be improved.

Fastener stringer for concealed slide fastener

The invention provides a fastener stringer for a hidden slide fastener. Each of the fastener tapes includes a main tape body, a folded tape portion which is folded into a U-shape, and an element attaching portion. The folded tape portion includes at least two multiple-weave portions in which warp yarn forms a multiple-weave structure, and a single-weave portion arranged at least at one location of an intermediate portion of the folded tape portion. According to this, it is possible to enhance rigidity of the folded tape portion in a lateral direction of a tape, and to prevent a position of the warp yarn from being misaligned at the multiple-weave portion. Therefore, hiding performance of the hidden slide fastener can be enhanced.

A finishing method for obtaining a fiber surface fastener, said method being capable of, with simple processes, firmly fixing entangling portions between a foundation cloth composed of knitted/woven structure or nonwoven fabric and base portions of engaging elements, further, the finishing method being capable of preventing coating agent from adhering to or solidifying on the protruding surfaces of the engaging elements, said surface fastener having excellent softness. While a fiber surface fastener in which a plurality of engaging elements are formed on a foundation cloth thereof is conveyed continuously, powdery hot-melt adhesive is applied to its engaging element formation face from a separate position, the surface fastener is heated at a temperature higher than a melting point of said adhesive for a required time so that the adhesive applied is melted between the base portions of the engaging elements and the foundation cloth, and then said surface fastener is cooled.

Fiber surface fastener and method for finishing same

The present invention provides a surface fastener wherein necessary engaging strength is maintained for a long term, the surface fastener is flexible and has a favorable touch without prickly feeling even when male engaging elements formed of fibers are employed, and strange peeling noise is not generated. The surface fastener includes at least a large number of male engaging elements planted on a foundation cloth which is a woven or knitted fabric or a non-woven fabric and is formed of fibers, the surface fastener being engaged with and disengaged from a mating surface fastener. The foundation cloth has groups each including a plurality of hook-shaped engaging elements having a small diameter and standing up from a common position of a face of the foundation cloth with respective base end portions of the hook-shaped engaging elements being in adjacent to each other, and the base end portions of the plurality of hook-shaped engaging elements constituting the groups are bonded and integrated by a part of synthetic resin as a backing agent which penetrates the woven or knitted foundation cloth.

Surface fastener formed of fibers

A disposable diaper has a pair of first surface fastener members supported by a rear flap of a diaper body and a second surface fastener member supported by a front flap of the diaper body. The first and second surface fastener members have first and second engaging elements; the first and/or second engaging elements are made of water-soluble resin. After approximately 1/3 to 2/5 of the diaper body on the side of the rear flap is folded inwardly, the diaper body is wound into a roll toward the front flap, and then the water-soluble resin of the first and/or second engaging elements is dissolved with water. Then the first surface fastener members are pressed against the second surface fastener member to fasten the diaper body in roll as waste.
