A method for manufacturing a display unit is provided, and the method includes forming a first insulating film, forming a plurality of first electrodes on the first insulating film, forming a second insulating film on the first electrodes, forming a plurality of openings corresponding to the first electrodes, forming a plurality of organic layers formed in a shape of a stripe having notch parts, forming a second electrode on the organic layer having the notch parts is formed, and forming a protective film on the second electrode.

Method for manufacturing a display unit

A cup-type container obtained by compression-forming a thermoplastic resin and including at least a flange portion, a body portion and a bottom portion, wherein a ratio (L/D) of the height of the container to the diameter of the opening is not less than 1.0, and if the direction of height of a test piece cut out from the body portion of the container is denoted by x and the circumferential direction thereof by y, a half-value width P at a half peak of a Miller index at a diffraction angle 2&#x3b8;=14.5&#xb0; that represents the diffraction by the crystal plane (110), is in a range of 1.25 to 1.5 over the whole body portion in a peak intensity profile in the direction of height (x-direction) of a Debye's ring obtained by measuring the diffraction intensities by causing the X-rays to be incident on an x-y plane of the test piece at right angles thereto. The cup-type container is evenly oriented in the direction of height of the container and in the circumferential direction thereof, has an even strength in all directions and has excellent heat resistance. The invention, further, provides a method of forming the cup-type container.

Cup-type container and method of forming the same

A display unit is provided including a first insulating film, a plurality of anode electrodes disposed on the first insulating film, a second insulating film disposed on the anode electrodes, a plurality of organic layers disposed on the anode electrodes, a cathode electrode disposed on the organic layer, and a first wiring disposed on the first insulating film. The cathode electrode is connected to an extraction electrode via a first wiring provided in a peripheral area of the anode electrodes. Moreover, one of the organic layers extending in a column direction is provided over two of more rows of the anode electrodes.

Display unit

A display unit is provided including a first insulating film, a plurality of anode electrodes disposed on the first insulating film, a second insulating film disposed on the anode electrodes, a plurality of organic layers disposed on the anode electrodes, and a cathode electrode disposed on the organic layer. The cathode electrode is connected to an extraction electrode via a first wiring provided in a peripheral area of the display unit. Also, the organic layers are provided over two or more lines of the anode electrodes.

Display unit and light emitting device

A deposition mask and a display unit and method of manufacturing same are provided. A red continuous organic layer, a green continuous organic layer, and a blue continuous organic layer are provided over two or more lines of a matrix configuration of organic light emitting devices in common. A film thickness distribution in the extensional direction of the red, green and blue continuous organic layer is dissolved, and an aperture ratio can be improved by just that much.

An apparatus for manufacturing an organic electroluminescence display having an alignment chamber for aligning a mask having openings corresponding to a predetermined pattern with a substrate on which a first electrode layer is formed and detachably attaching the mask and the substrate. The apparatus further including a number of vacuum processing chambers for sequentially forming a number of organic material layers on the substrate attached with the mask. The apparatus also including a transfer robot for transferring the attached mask and substrate to one of the number of vacuum processing chambers and sequentially transferring it between the number of the vacuum processing chambers.

Apparatus and method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescence display

In a communication apparatus in which a first level unit, a second level unit and a third level unit are hierarchically arranged and these units are connected to one another by multicore cables, one of the many cores of each multicore cable is used as monitoring core, and the first level unit sends out to each monitoring core a probe signal generated by sampling the digital signals supplied via the individual cores of the multicore cable and multiplexing them on a time-division basis. The second level unit compares each of these probe signals and a string of signal samples supplied via the multicore cable corresponding to this probe signal, generates a faulty connection indicating signal in response to any discrepancy between them; generates, similarly to the first level unit, a probe signal for detecting any faulty connection between the second level and third level units; multiplexes these signals on a time-division basis; and inserts the multiplexed signal into the monitoring core to the third level unit. The third level unit, on the basis of the probe signal for this signal supplied via the monitoring core, can display a faulty connection signal both for each multicore cable and for each individual core.

Detection system for abnormal cable connections in communication

A planar display apparatus with a fluorescent screen formed on the inner surface of a front panel in a planar tube body. An electron gun is disposed at a position deviated in a vertical scanning direction from a region opposite the fluorescent screen, and a vertical deflecting electrode composed of a plurality of parallel electrodes is disposed at an opposite portion relative to the fluorescent screen on the side of a back panel opposed to the front panel of the planar tube body. In a space between the vertical deflecting electrode and the fluorescent screen, there is disposed an electrode structure having at least an electron lens scanning electrode composed of a plurality of parallel electrodes, a splitting electrode for splitting an electron beam from the electron gun into a plurality of beams, a modulating electrode, and horizontal deflection electrodes.

In a baude rate sampling type receiving circuit for use in a system for transmitting digital data signal at a transmission baude rate, in order to control the sampling phase at the optimum phase, desired elements of an autocorrelation function of a series of baud rate sampled signals are calculated and are linearly summed by a calculating circuit to provide a linear summation as a power of the series of sampled signals. The sampling phase at the baud rate sampling is controlled by a control circuit by use of the linear summation so that the power is maximized, whereby the sampling phase is maintained at the optimum sampling phase.

The whole or part of a waveform is cancelled by a circuit comprising a nonrecursive filter and a recursive filter. The nonrecursive filter has a plurality of first multipliers having first tap weights for modifying symbols successively shifted along a shift register. The recursive filter is connected in a series circuit to the shift register and has a second tap weight for recursively modifying the output of the shift register. The recursively modified symbol is modified by a second multiplier having a third tap weight and combined in an adder with the symbols modified by the first tap weights to produce a replica of an undesired waveform. The replica is destructively combined in a subtractor with an incoming symbol having an undesired waveform. The output of subtractor is utilized to derive the tap weights to adaptively control the inputs to the adder.

In a receiver comprising a filter section for filtering a transmitted digital signal into a filtered digital signal and an equalizer section for equalizing the filtered digital signal into an equalized digital signal as a reproduced digital signal in response to controllable tap gains supplied from a control arrangement, the equalizer section comprises a first arrangement for filtering the filtered digital signal in response to predetermined ones of the controllable tap gains to produce an intermediate digital signal and a second arrangement for equalizing the intermediate digital signal into the equalized digital signal in response to remaining ones of the controllable tap gains except for the predetermined controllable tap gains to produce the reproduced digital signal. The control arrangement controls the predetermined tap gains so as to minimize noise power of a noise signal accompanying the filtered digital signal and the remaining controllable tap gains and to equalize the intermediate digital signal into the equalized digital signal.

Receiver capable of improving signal-to-noise ratio in reproducing

A digital automatic line equalizer for compensating distortion of a digital signal transmitted through a transmission line comprises a transversal filter having a set of tap gains for producing an equalized signal as a filter output from the digital signal incoming thereto. A first multiplier squares a current one of the filter output to produce a squared signal and other multipliers multiply the current and the previous ones of the filter outputs to produce product signals. In a calculator, the product signals are weighted and are, thereafter, summed together with the squared signal to produce summed signals which are averaged for a predetermined time duration into a mean value. A controller has a plurality of sets of values for the set of tap gains, compares the mean value with a reference value to produce an error signal and determines one set of the plurality of sets of values in response to the error signal to make the set of tap gains equal to the set of values thereby to maintain the mean value to the reference value so that the transversal filter produces the equalized signal.
