An information output system in which an output destination management server is provided with an output destination management table for managing a mail address, performance information, and the like for each printer. In response to a search request from a terminal apparatus, the output destination management table is used to search for one or a plurality of candidate printers. The terminal apparatus is notified of the mail address of one candidate printer or the plurality of candidate printers. The terminal apparatus uses the mail address of a designated printer as a destination, and issues an electronic mail including the information to be printed. A printing mail server receives the electronic mail. The information included in the electronic mail is transferred to the designated printer from a print server. Accounting processing is executed prior to the printing of the information.

Payment based electronic mail printing system utilizing search criteria

An information transferring system operating in an information processing system capable of performing highly efficient and reliable exchanges of data between two or more windows respectively operating on different window systems without the necessity of changing the window systems, using a data area in the form of a clipboard or a similar memory area specified for temporary data storage and transferring the data for such exchanges by way of an exclusive-use communication line or a shared memory medium, with or without the use of selection protocols, thereby achieving further improved reliability and higher efficiency in the data exchanging operations between window systems and application programs operating within the window systems.

Apparatus for transferring information between different window systems

A multiwindow control system in which, if an examination window overlaps a display area of a detecting window and has the same parent as the detecting window, the system divides the display area of the detecting window by an extension of the overlapping side of the examination window and changes the divided display areas into new detecting areas. After the portions of detecting areas which overlap with individual examination windows are successively divided, the remaining new detecting areas become areas of the original detecting window in which image information can be displayed.
