A liquid droplet ejecting apparatus comprises a liquid droplet ejecting head which has a nozzle array composed of a plurality of nozzles arranged in a first direction, a relative movement mechanism which relatively moves the liquid droplet ejecting head and a recording medium in the first direction, and a controller. The controller controls the liquid droplet ejecting head and the relative movement mechanism to record, on the recording medium, a nonuniformity correction pattern in order to correct any dispersion in a liquid droplet ejection amount among the plurality of nozzles. The controller is configured, in order to record the nonuniformity correction pattern, such that the liquid droplet ejecting head is allowed to eject liquid droplets from at least the first nozzle to thereby record a first pattern group, the relative movement mechanism is allowed to relatively move the liquid droplet ejecting head and the recording medium in the first direction by a predetermined distance, and the liquid droplet ejecting head is allowed to eject the liquid droplets from at least the second nozzle to thereby record a second pattern group.

An ink-jet printer, including a density detector and a controller, wherein, where successive three ejecting operations to be repeatedly performed on the same predetermined region of a recording medium are defined as first through third ejecting operations in the order of performance, the controller executes: a process for detecting a color density of the predetermined region immediately after attachment of the ink ejected in the second ejecting operation; a process for calculating, based on the detected color density, an estimated density after fixation of the ink ejected in the second ejecting operation; a process for calculating, based on print data, an ideal density after fixation of the ink ejected in the second ejecting operation; and a process for correcting the print data based on a difference between the estimated density and the ideal density, and wherein the ink-jet printer performs the third ejecting operation based on the corrected print data.

A liquid jetting apparatus includes: a head; an ink storage chamber communicating with the head; a gas distributing chamber in which a gas introducing hole is formed; a buffer chamber in which a communicating hole for communicating with the gas distributing chamber, and an atmosphere opening hole for opening to the atmosphere are formed; a combination valve which is capable of opening and closing the gas introducing hole and the communicating hole; a gas introducing mechanism which introduces the compressed air through the gas introducing hole to the head to jet the ink forcibly, and a positive-pressure control valve which opens the atmosphere opening hole when a pressure in the buffer chamber exceeds a predetermined value. It is possible to operate a positive-pressure purge while suppressing an excessive increase in the pressure inside the liquid storage chamber, without increasing a size and a cost of the apparatus.

A liquid discharge apparatus includes a discharge head which discharges a liquid from a discharge port onto a recording medium to form an image, a sub tank which is movable together with the discharge head and which stores the liquid to be supplied to the discharge head, a liquid supplement section which supplements the sub tank with the liquid, a purge section which performs a purge operation in which the liquid in the sub tank is pressurized to be fed to the discharge head, and the liquid in the discharge head is forcibly discharged from the discharge ports, a judging mechanism which judges whether or not an amount of the liquid in the sub tank is not more than a predetermined amount V, and a controller which controls the liquid supplement section and the purge section.
