A fuel cell system includes: a reformer which generates a reformed gas containing hydrogen by reacting hydrocarbon and moisture with each other; a fuel cell stack which generates electric energy through electrochemical reaction of the reformed gas and an oxidant; an ejector which, using steam as a drive fluid, sucks either a raw fuel containing the hydrocarbon or a recycled gas recovered from an anode exhaust gas, and supplies a resultant gas to the reformer; and a vaporizer which generates the steam by vaporizing water, wherein an operation temperature of the fuel cell stack is higher than a boiling point of water at an operation pressure, and the vaporizer generates the steam through heat exchange with the anode exhaust gas.

Fuel cell system

This disclosure provides an outdoor unit for an air-conditioning apparatus with improved reliability. The outdoor unit () includes a housing whose inside is divided into a fan chamber () and a machine chamber (). A compressor and a reactor that are heat-generating components are provided in a lower area of the machine chamber (). An electric board () including a printed circuit board () and an electric component (), and an electric component box () constituted by an inner box () and an outer box () and accommodating the electric board are provided above the heat-generating components. A lower face of the inner box (first thermal insulation plate) and a lower face of the outer box (second thermal insulation plate) constitute a double thermal insulation plate ().

Outdoor unit for air-conditioning apparatus

A magnetic field application device applying a magnetic field to a magnetocaloric material includes: a magnetic field generating component; a first yoke connected to both poles of the magnetic field generating component; and a second yoke movably disposed between a first position and a second position. A first closed magnetic circuit formed by the magnetic field generating component and the first yoke passes through a magnetic field application region in which the magnetocaloric material is accommodated. A second closed magnetic circuit formed by the magnetic field generating component, the first yoke, and the second yoke bypasses the magnetic field application region. Magnetic resistance of the second closed magnetic circuit when the second yoke is located at the second position is smaller than the magnetic resistance of the second closed magnetic circuit when the second yoke is located at the first position.

Magnetic field application device

A vehicle power conversion device includes: a housing configured to accommodate an electronic component therein and having an opening; and a cooling device. The cooling device includes a base being a plate-shaped member and heat sinks attached to the base. The base has a groove with refrigerant enclosed. The base has a first main surface to which the electronic component is to be attached, and covers the opening by the first main surface facing an interior of the housing. The heat sinks are joined, at intervals, onto the second main surface of the base.

Provided is a rotating electric machine. Angles formed by tooth center axes of adjacent teeth are defined as tooth pitch angles. Maximum tooth pitch angles are defined as first tooth pitch angles &#x3b1;. At least one of tooth pitch angles become smaller as proceeding from the first tooth pitch angles &#x3b1;in a clockwise direction and a counterclockwise direction, respectively, and such tooth pitch angles are defined as second tooth pitch angles &#x3b1;. Cross-sectional areas of second coils, which are arranged in slots each formed between adjacent teeth corresponding to the second tooth pitch angles &#x3b1;in a cross-section perpendicular to a rotation axis, is smaller than cross-sectional areas of first coils, which are arranged in slots each formed between adjacent teeth corresponding to the first tooth pitch angles &#x3b1;in the cross-section perpendicular to the rotation axis.

Rotary electric machine

A cooling system includes: a placement plate on which a plurality of components are disposed; and a liquid refrigerant flow path, which is formed on an opposite side of the placement plate with respect to the plurality of components, and is configured to allow a liquid refrigerant for cooling the plurality of components to flow therethrough. The path includes: a first heat-radiating portion disposed at a liquid refrigerant inlet portion around which fins are disposed such that distances from a flow-path inlet portion to the fins are gradually farther away from a flow-path side wall toward a center of the path; a second heat-radiating portion which includes fins having a curved shape; a third heat-radiating portion having no fins; a fourth heat-radiating portion having higher fin-mounting density than the first and the second heat-radiating portions, an inlet and an outlet through which the liquid refrigerant flows in and out.

A cooling apparatus includes: an annular internal liquid coolant flow channel that is mounted to a rotary electric machine main body, and in which an internal liquid coolant circulates around an outer circumference of the rotary electric machine main body, and an external liquid coolant passage portion through which an external liquid coolant passes, the external liquid coolant passage portion is connected to the internal liquid coolant flow channel by a connecting portion that is positioned vertically higher than the rotary electric machine main body, and the electric power converting apparatus includes a heat radiating surface that releases heat that is generated in the electric power converting apparatus, the electric power converting apparatus being mounted to the cooling apparatus such that the heat radiating surface and the internal liquid coolant can exchange heat at a position that is vertically lower than the connecting portion.

A boiling cooling device and a boiling cooling system which can promote boiling and restrain the cooling capacity of the device from deteriorating. A boiling cooling device includes: a pump to circulate refrigerant; a microbubble generator to produce microbubbles and incorporate the microbubbles into the refrigerant discharged from the pump; a boiling cooler to which the refrigerant containing the microbubbles is supplied and which boils the refrigerant; a radiator to cool the refrigerant after the refrigerant is boiled and before the refrigerant is taken in by the pump; and a gas-liquid separatorto separate gas from the circulating refrigerant after the refrigerant is boiled and before the refrigerant is taken in by the pump.

Boiling cooling device and boiling cooling system

A cooler configured to cool an electronic device includes: a refrigerant inlet portion configured to guide refrigerant from an outside of a casing to an inside of the casing; a refrigerant outlet portion configured to guide the refrigerant from the inside of the casing to the outside of the casing; and a metal member located inside the casing and configured to define a flow path region in which the refrigerant is caused to flow from the refrigerant inlet portion to the refrigerant outlet portion. The metal member includes: a plurality of opening portions configured to cause the refrigerant to pass therethrough; and a capture and reduction portion having such a shape as to capture air bubbles, which are generated through a connection surface between the casing and the electronic device. The air bubbles are reduced through cooling by the refrigerant when the electronic device is cooled.

Power conversion device

Provided is a cooling device, a power conversion device, and a cooling system in which bubbles produced by boiling in the cooling device are inhibited from flowing out of the cooling device, and thus, vibration, noise, and damage to pipes and other components can be prevented. A cooling device according to the present invention includes a housing having a hollow interior, the housing having a refrigerant inlet from which refrigerant flows in and a refrigerant outlet from which the refrigerant flows out, and having, in the hollow interior, a refrigerant flow path through which the refrigerant flows, and an opening body provided in the housing, dividing the refrigerant flow path into a first area including a heating surface being at least one of a bottom surface and side surfaces of the housing and heating the refrigerant, and a second area including the refrigerant outlet, and having a plurality of openings.

Provided is a heat exchange element that suppresses an increase in air-flow resistance by suppressing deflection of a partition member caused by a change in temperature and humidity. The unit constituent members are stacked, each of which is formed of partition members that have heat-transfer properties and moisture permeability, and spacing members that hold the partition members. A primary air flow that passes along an upper-surface side of the partition member and a secondary air flow that passes along an undersurface side of the partition member cross each other so as to exchange heat and moisture via the partition member. The spacing member includes: spacing ribs that maintain the spacing between the partition members; and deflection suppressing ribs that have a height smaller than the spacing ribs so as to suppress deflection of the partition members.
