There is provided a compact stator coil assembly that has heat radiation increased and a cooling performance improved. A stator coil assembly includes a first coil piece, a second coil piece, and an insulating member provided with a retaining portion that catches the first coil piece and the second coil piece so that those coil pieces form a predetermined coil pattern. A coil loop is formed by the first coil piece and the second coil piece. The stator coil assembly further includes a heat-transfer member having a heat-transfer portion insulated from the first coil piece and the second coil piece and embedded in the insulating member, and a slit formed in the heat-transfer member so as to cut off the pathway of an induced current that is to flow through the heat-transfer member.

Stator coil assembly

A stator coil for an axial gap electrical rotating machine includes first coil pieces, second coil pieces, and an annular base member having recesses for arranging and holding the first and second coil pieces in back and front faces of the annular base member. The first and second coil pieces are arranged in a circumferential direction of the annular base member in the recesses in both back and front faces of the base member. The first joint portion of one first coil piece faces and is connected to the first joint portion of another first coil piece. The second joint portion of one first coil piece faces and being connected to the second joint portion of another second coil piece or the third joint portion of one second coil piece to provide a coil loop.

A coil assembly for a rotating electric machine is a stator coil for use in the stator of a motor or the like, which includes a coil plate composed of at least two coil plate elements respectively provided with an internal peripheral portion and an external peripheral portion and having predetermined wiring patterns formed by slits. The coil plate elements are bonded together at their internal peripheral portion and external peripheral portion while leaving the medial portion lying between the internal peripheral portion and the external peripheral portion spaced apart, so as to form the predetermined coil winding patterns.

In a slotless permanent magnet rotary electric machinery, comprising a substantially cylindrical rotor () incorporated with a permanent magnet (), a stator iron core () surrounding the rotor; and a coil () provided between the rotor () and stator core () in a spaced relationship with respect to the rotor (), the coil () comprises a plurality of turns which are shifted from one turn to another along the circumferential direction in a mutually overlapping manner; and the coil turns are formed by a conductor () having an elongated cross section, a long axis of the cross section extending in a radial direction. This provides rotary electric machinery which can significantly reduce loss in a high speed range without substantially increasing copper loss.

Slotless rotary electric machine and manufacturing method of coils for such a machine

A stator winding which copes with high output and miniaturization turns formed by winding a wire sheaf of a plurality of fine wires bundled together, in an approximately rhombic shape, wherein the turns are arranged so as to be sequentially shifted in the direction of one diagonal of the rhombic shape, to thereby form an approximately rhombic shape coil segment comprising a continuous length of the wire sheaf. A plurality of coil segments are then sequentially shifted and overlapped on one diagonal to form a band shaped body, and a hollow cylindrical body is then formed by rolling the band shaped body into a circular shape. The winding is characterized in that with each turn, opposite end portions located in the direction of an other diagonal orthogonal to the direction of the one diagonal have U-shape bent back portions.

Stator winding and manufacturing method therefor

A stator of a rotating electrical machine has improved heat dissipation of a stator and end portions of a stator winding thereof which are protected from damage due to stress concentration, by inserting a silicone rubber sheet between a stator core having no slots and the stator winding which is accommodated thereinside. The silicone rubber sheet comprises a rubber type material having flexibility so as to be deformable under pressure, which is reinforced by a glass cloth or a polyester mesh cloth. Moreover, this is preferably an insulating and heat dissipating sheet which contains a filler having good thermal conductivity. More preferably, a silicone rubber sheet which contains boron nitride is used. Furthermore, a protective sheet of a resin material is further inserted between the stator core and end portions of the stator winding over the silicone rubber sheet.

Rotating electrical machine stator

A manufacturing method of a slotless stator, involves assembling jointly define two divided cores which a stator core into a cylindrical shape, so as to contain therebetween a cylindrically shaped stator winding, wherein the stator winding an outer diameter larger than an inner diameter of the stator core in the uncompressed condition. By so doing, the stator winding is assembled inside the stator core in a radially inward compressed condition. At this time, since the stator winding functions as a spring pressing the inside of the stator core so as to expand in the normal direction (the radial outward direction), winding is mechanically secured by the resilient spring force at that time to the inner periphery of the stator core. Hence there is no longer the need for a special fixation mechanism or adhesive when assembling the stator core winding and stator core together.

Manufacturing method for slotless stator, and rotating electrical machine

A rotating electrical machine includes, a cooling circuit is provided for introducing oil to inside a housing, for cooling an inner periphery and outer periphery of a slotless stator in that order. Moreover, there is also provided a cover plate for preventing back flow of the oil introduced to inside the housings, to an outer peripheral side of the slotless stator . As a result, oil which has just been introduced to the housing, and has not yet been supplied for cooling the heat source, is promptly circulated to the inner peripheral side of the stator which requires much more cooling, so that the temperature rise of the overall rotating electrical machine is effectively suppressed. Moreover, a part of the oil introduced to inside the housing is used for lubricating bearings supporting a rotor.

Rotating electrical machine with improved circulating path for coolant

A method of securing a stator winding such that it has improved heat dissipation performance includes steps of inserting a stator winding into a stator core soaking these components in a varnish tank while being held together as one, and after the varnish has soaked into the stator winding , withdrawing the winding and core from the varnish tank. Then a mandrel comprising an outer peripheral pressing portion made by wrapping a fluororubber around an outer periphery of a mandrel body made of a fluoroplastic, is inserted into the stator winding. After this, the varnish is heat hardened with the stator core, the stator winding, and the mandrel all held together as one. In so doing, the outer peripheral pressing portion is deformed with irregularities replicating the inner periphery of the stator winding . Hence on the inner peripheral side of the stator winding, the varnish resin hardens with the irregularities retained. As a result, the effective inner peripheral surface area of the stator winding with the hardered varnish is increased, and heat dissipation is thus improved.

Method of securing a stator winding in a rotating electrical machine

An articulated mechanism for use as an articulated arm of an industrial robot, for example, includes a plurality of arms interconnecting articulations having respective fluid pressure angular displacement motors for angularly displacing the arms relatively to each other. The motors have sidewalls forming working chambers, where an inner surface of the sidewall is exposed to working fluid pressure tending to bow the sidewall outward, and an outer surface of the sidewall has a plurality of counteracting pressure chambers which apply a counteracting pressure force against the sidewall to oppose the outward bowing force, the counteracting pressure force increasing in pressure surface area as the piston is displaced within the motor chamber.

An armature winding structure for use in an electric motor includes a web-shaped strand bundle composed of a plurality of parallel strands. The strand bundle has a plurality of longitudinally spaced bends and a plurality of straight strand bundle segments. Adjacent ones of the strand bundle segments are positioned one on each side of one of the bends. The strand bundle segments are transversely staggered on one side of the strand bundle successively from one end to the other of the strand bundle, by intervals each substantially equal to the width of the strand bundle. The strand bundle segments thus staggered are longitudinally folded over along fold lines extending respectively across or near the bends transversely of the strand bundle, thereby providing a plate-like winding in which the strand bundle segments lie adjacent to one another.

An articulated mechanism for use as an articulated arm of an industrial robot, for example, includes a plurality of arms interconnecting articulations having respective fluid pressure angular displacement motors for angularly displacing the arms relatively to each other. A plurality of pipes are positioned in the arms, respectively, for supplying a fluid under pressure to the articulations, and a plurality of oil passages are disposed in the articulations, respectively, and branched from the pipes, respectively, to supply the fluid under pressure to the fluid pressure motors.

A hydraulic pressure system for supplying a fluid under pressure includes a fluid pressure source for supplying the fluid pressure, an accumulator for storing part of the fluid from the fluid pressure source, the accumulator having a gas chamber filled with a high-pressure gas for pressurizing the stored fluid, and a structural member having a hermetically sealed space held in fluid communication with the gas chamber. The structural member comprises a link of an articulated mechanism interconnecting articulations, the link comprising a high polymer composite material and a metal material and having smaller-diameter portions joined to the articulations, respectively. The composite material comprises a prepreg which is either woven of weft threads extending parallel to an axis of the link and warp threads extending perpendicularly to the axis of the link, or woven of weft threads and warp threads which are inclined at about 54.75.degree. with respect to the axis of the link.
