A magnetic head is disclosed which includes in a preferred embodiment a head core (1) sandwiched between a first slider (2) and a second slider (3) both bonded to the core (1), said first and second sliders (2) and (3) being made from a resin composition comprising an epoxy resin composition and a filler comprising silica having a coefficient of thermal expansion of from 5.times.10.sup.-7 to 6.times.10.sup.-7 /.degree. C. as the main component and from 3 to 30 wt % at least one minor component selected from alumina, mullite, barium titanate, forsterite, steatite, and zircon, the amount of the filler being from 50 to 95 wt % based on the amount of the epoxy resin composition. The magnetic head is inexpensive, does not suffer deterioration of the magnetic characteristics of the head core, and is free from the problem of sticking to a floppy disk, head wear, or media wear.

Magnetic head

In relation to the magnetic head using a polycrystalline Mn-Zn ferrite as a core material, a magnetic head manufacturing method is provided for preventing the generation of the post-recording noise which is a pulse noise generated immediately after the completion of a current flow through the recording and reproducing coil. A fused core block is manufactured using Mn-Zn ferrite having a mean crystal grain size of equal to or less than 30 .mu.m as the core material of at least the recording and reproducing head and glass fusion using one type of glass, and the fused core block is annealed at a temperature equal to or higher than the strain point of the glass.

Method for manufacturing a magnetic head

A multiple head arrangement for recording and reproducing magnetic information on a magnetic recording medium. The head structure includes an I core body and two core half bodies. A first glass member is interposed between the I core body and the first core half body at a position laterally adjacent a first read/write gap and a second glass member is interposed between the I core body and the second core half body at a position laterally adjacent a second read/write gap. A non-magnetic thin film insulation layer is interposed between the first and second core half bodies and substantially perpendicularly with respect to the read/write gaps.

Plural track head magnetic recording/reproducing arrangement

Complex magnetic head of the present invention eliminates relative magnetic interference between the magnetic heads and relative gap position drift between magnetic heads. The complex magnetic head has high performance and is compatible with lower rank FDDs. The complex magnetic head comprises R/W core track width regulation grooves (52a, 52b, 53a, 53b) filled with glass, erase core track width regulation grooves (55a, 55b, 56a, 56b) filled with glass, R/W core (18, 22) and erase core (20, 24) between shield members formed by these core track width regulation grooves (52a, 52b, 53a, 53b, 55a, 55b, 56a, 56b).

Complex magnetic head

A method for producing a ceramic-metal composite substrate, which comprises integrally bonding together a ceramic base member, metal members of a material selected from the group consisting of copper and alloys thereof, and a constraining member to be bonded to the metal member, wherein improvement comprises: bringing the metal member into close contact with ceramic base member through a thin film layer having a thickness of from 0.1 .mu.m to 3 .mu.m and containing therein an active metal; and heating the combination of the ceramic base member, the metal member, and the constraining member in an atmosphere which is difficult to react with the active metal, to a temperature ranging from a melting point of an alloy to be formed of the metal member and the active metal to a temperature below the melting point of the metal member, while applying a pressing force to combination in the direction of its thickness, thereby realizing the integral bonding.

Ceramic-metal composite substrate and method for producing the same

A ceramic-metal composite substrate which comprises: a ceramic base member; metal members of a material selected from the group consisting of copper and copper alloys, which is bonded to said ceramic base member; and a constraining member bonded to said metal member, said constraining member being made up of a metal selected from the group consisting of molybdenum, tungsten and alloys thereof, and having a thickness in a range of from 1/20 to 1/3 of the thickness of said metal member.

Ceramic-metal composite substrate

A T-shape joint includes a slant gap formed between joint faces of a vertical base metal and a horizontal base metal and the slant gap is filled perfectly with a brazing alloy without remaining any defect. The slant gap can be saw tooth shape gaps. The slant gap can be formed in the thickness direction of the vertical base metal. The molten brazing metal penetrates into the slant gap without forming a cavity for a stronger joint.

T-Shape joint and preparation thereof

A speaker comprises a voice coil placed in an air gap between a center pole and a plate wherein a specific ferromagnetic material obtained by forming fine crystalline grains is used on at least one of the surfaces of the center pole and the plate which respectively face the voice coil, thereby providing a speaker having low distortion.

In a welding apparatus for overlaying on a base metal, a reverse polarity soft plasma arc is formed between an electrode and the base metal and a welding rod is fed into the arc to weld the base metal by melting the welding rod and the feeding speed of the welding rod is controlled corresponding to the arc current to form a bead having low penetration. The electrode is oscillated and an active gas such as CO.sub.2 or O.sub.2 is incorporated in a shield gas at a rate controlled corresponding to the oscillation of the electrode.

Welding apparatus

In a brazing method of brazing a joint at the contacted surfaces of two base metals, the surfaces of the base metals are arc heated to the optimum brazing temperature of higher than a melting point of a brazing alloy and lower than a melting point of the base metal with the temperature gradient gradually lowering from one end to the opposite end, while feeding the brazing alloy from the end in the lower temperature side into the clearance between the contacted surfaces of the base metals or disposing the brazing alloy in the clearance before heating. A soft plasma arc is used as the heat source to heat the joint from one end to the opposite end.
