Spring force adjusting device for a hydraulic shock absorber

A rotary damper for damping oscillation of a motorcycle front tire includes a vane swingably mounted inside the rotary damper between left and right oil chambers, passages placing the oil chambers in fluid communication with one another, front chambers in communication with the passages to secure a pressure-receiving area adjacent the vane when the vane is at one of its extreme swing positions and begins swinging back towards the center of the damper, and grooves in fluid communication with the front chambers, wherein the grooves are formed shallower than the front chambers, and the passages are opened to the bottom of said grooves.

Rotary damper

A steering device for a two-wheeler of the present invention includes: a frame; a support member for a front wheel; a steering shaft connecting the support member to the frame so as to be rotatable about an axis thereof; and a rotary type steering damper providing a hydraulic resistance force in no matter which direction the support member rotates with respect to the frame. The steering damper has a vane adapted to swing in synchronism with rotation of the support member, oil chambers defined on both sides of the vane and filled with working fluid, a flow passage causing working fluid to flow from one oil chamber to the other oil chamber as the vane swings, and a damping valve arranged in a flow passage for the working fluid, and an opening of the damping valve is varied by a signal from outside to thereby generate a damping force optimized according to the travel condition.

Steering device

An inflatable belt for use in a seat belt apparatus. The belt provides an increased inflation length without having to pass an inflatable bag through a belt guide. A seat belt apparatus may include the air belt which may include a webbing of which at least a part that comes into contact with an occupant is formed as a bag-like portion and the remaining part is formed as a single-band portion. The apparatus has a bag stored in the bag-like portion of the webbing in such a manner that the bag is folded along both the longitudinal direction thereof and the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction thereof. The air belt includes cover that covers the webbing. When a gas is injected into the bag the bag inflates to expand the webbing and to provide EA effect and occupant protection.

Inflatable seat belt apparatus

To provide a passenger protecting device protecting a passenger by controlling an inflating amount of an airbag and that of an air belt. A protocol is used that varies the amount of inflation of both the airbag and the air-belt. Each may remain non-inflated, inflated at least partially, or inflated fully depending on other factors. One factor may be the detected impact scale of the crash. Another factor may be the detected weight of a passenger. Inflation of the airbag and/or the air-belt may be done in a stepwise manner or in a continuous manner.

Passenger protection device

Disclosed is a masking tape suitable for use in manufacturing a printed circuit board. The masking tape comprises a water soluble paper as a tape base material, and a water soluble adhesive agent applied to one side of the paper. A method of filling through-holes employing such a water soluble masking tape in a process of manufacturing a printed circuit board is also disclosed.

A heat-sensitive recording material is disclosed, comprising a support having thereon a heat-sensitive, color-forming layer mainly composed of as color-forming components a colorless or pale-colored leuco dye and an acidic compound capable of allowing said leuco dye to color develop by heating, wherein said heat-sensitive, color-forming layer comprises a color former comprising a fluoran derivative represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents a lower alkyl group, and X represents a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a cyano group, or a nitro group, a developer comprising bis(p-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone or a derivative thereof represented by the following general formula (II): ##STR2## wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, a phenoxy group, a carbonyl group, a nitro group, or a cyano group, and a binder comprising an ammonium salt of a diisobutylene/maleic anhydride copolymer and a styrene/butadiene copolymer. The heat-sensitive recording material of the present invention is good in preservability.

Heat-sensitive recording material

A heat-sensitive recording material composed of a heat-sensitive, color-forming layer on a sheet substrate. The heat-sensitive, color-forming layer is mainly composed of a color-forming component consisting of a colorless or light-colored leucodye and an acidic compound for allowing said leucodye to develop color by heating, and further includes on the upper surface thereof a protective layer composed mainly of a polyvinyl alcohol and containing an epoxy compound having in its molecule at least two epoxy groups or an ethylenimine compound having in its molecule at least two ethylenimine groups.
