An arc welding control method includes: an initial condition setting step of setting initial values of welding conditions for arc welding a base material; and a scaly bead formation step of forming a plurality of scaly beads in a predetermined welding section of the base material while moving a welding wire at a predetermined welding speed in the predetermined welding section of the base material. The welding conditions include an arc ON period and an arc OFF period, and at least one of a welding current, the predetermined welding speed, or an interval of the plurality of scaly beads. The arc welding control method further includes a welding condition change step of determining whether to change the initial value based on a predetermined finish condition for the plurality of scaly beads and changing at least one of a plurality of welding parameters to satisfy the predetermined finish condition.

Arc welding controlling method

Disclosed is an arc welding control method of controlling a welding current in short-circuit arc welding of feeding a welding wire toward a base metal and alternating a short-circuit state and an arc state. The arc welding control method includes: executing, in the short-circuit state, a first increase in the welding current with a first slope, a first decrease in the welding current to a first bottom value after executing the first increase, a second increase in the welding current with a second slope after executing the first decrease, and a second decrease in the welding current to a second bottom value that is smaller than the first bottom value after executing the second increase to shift a state to the arc state.

Arc welding control method and arc welding device

A pulse welding period alternately includes a first peak period in which a first peak current whose peak value is a first current value is caused to flow through a welding wire and a base period in which a base current having a second current value is caused to flow through the welding wire. During the base period, a second peak current whose peak current value is a sum of a second current value and a third current value and is smaller than the first current value is superimposed on the base current at a second pulse frequency. A second peak period in which the second peak current is caused to flow once is shorter than the first peak period. During the first peak period, a droplet is transferred from the welding wire toward a base material.

Arc welding control method with imposed currents

A pulse welding period includes a first peak period for supplying a first peak current to a welding wire, a first base period for supplying a base current smaller than the first peak current to the welding wire, a second peak period for supplying a second peak current to the welding wire after alternately repeating the first peak period and the first base period (n−1) times (n is an integer equal to or larger than 2), and a second base period for supplying the base current to the welding wire. The second peak current is larger than the first peak current, and droplets are transferred from the welding wire during the second peak period or the second base period.

Arc-welding control method

A base material is welded by a first welding method in a case where a welding parameter related to heat input to the base material is less than a first threshold value. The base material is welded by a second welding method in a case where the welding parameter is less than a second threshold value and is more than the first threshold value. The base material is welded by a third welding method in a case where the welding parameter is more than the second threshold value. By adjusting welding conditions regardless of the thickness of the base material, a welding method suitable for the thickness of the base material is determined to provide a welding with little spatter and no meltdown of the base material.

In thin sheet welding, when a heat input amount relative to a sheet thickness is too large, a welding defect such as a deviation from aim due to occurrence of a strain or burn through may easily occur. When a welding current is decreased to reduce the heat input amount, there is an issue in which an arc tends to become unstable. In arc welding in which short-circuit and arcing are repeated, first heat input period (Th) and second heat input period (Tc) having a heat input amount less than that of first heat input period (Th) are periodically repeated and a welding current during an arc period in second heat input period (Tc) is decreased to extinguish the arc. This reduces the heat input amount into a welding object and suppresses burn through or a strain upon welding, while making the arc stable.

When a welding current is decreased to reduce the heat input amount, there is an issue in which an arc tends to become unstable. In arc welding that repeats short-circuit and arcing, first heat input period (Th) and second heat input period (Tc) having a heat input amount less than that of first heat input period (Th) are periodically repeated. This reduces the heat input amount into a welding object and suppresses burn through and a strain upon welding while making the arc stable.

In control applying a gradient to a command voltage value during an arc period, although stable welding can be performed even in a case where a protrusion length of a welding wire becomes long, when the disturbance such as sudden change in the protrusion length is generated, a current waveform of the arc period is undershot, the short circuit period is disturbed, and it took time to return to the stable state, and the amount of sputter generation is also increased. Therefore, it is possible to suppress a change in current such as undershoot or the like when the disturbance is generated, stabilize short circuit cycle, perform welding with a strong resistance to disturbance and a small amount of sputter generation by changing an inductance value a plurality of times during the arc period.

Arc welding control method and arc welding apparatus

Disclosed is a method for controlling arc welding where an arc is generated between a welding wire as a consumable electrode and an object to be welded. The method includes: keeping a wire feed speed at a predetermined constant speed in a steady-state welding period; and at a time point when welding termination is ordered, either switching the wire feed speed from the predetermined constant speed to a wire feed speed at which the welding wire is fed in alternating forward and backward directions, or decreasing the wire feed speed from the predetermined constant speed with time, and then switching the wire feed speed to the wire feed speed at which the welding wire is fed in alternating forward and backward directions at a time point when a predetermined time period has passed since when welding termination was ordered.

Method for controlling arc welding and arc welding device

In arc welding, determining a current value to be high in an early stage of the arc period is effective in reducing spatters caused by feeble short circuit in the arc period. In that case, to sharply decrease the voltage that has increased with increase in current, an inductance value of a reactor has to be kept small. However, a small inductance value causes a problem&#x2014;weakness against disturbance. The present invention provides an arc welding control method that performs arc welding while repeating the short-circuit period and the arc period. According to the method, changing an inductance value relating to welding output in the arc period offers stable arc welding with fewer spatters and insusceptibility to disturbance.

In sensor-less collision detection of a robot, a conventional method for displaying abnormality of the robot makes an abnormality display of 'collision detected' when a collision is erroneously detected, and does not clarify the situations under which the collision has been erroneously detected. In a method for displaying abnormality of a robot, when a collision of the robot is detected and the collision detection is displayed, at least one abnormality display is selected from a plurality of abnormality detection items different from collision detection. This can offer information useful for the user to understand the situations at occurrence of the erroneous collision detection.

Robot malfunction indication method

An arc welding method comprising the steps of accelerating a feeding speed of a welding wire to cause shorting between the welding wire and a base metal when a welding end signal is input during a period of arcing, retracting the welding wire backward thereafter until a wire retracting speed reaches a predetermined rate, controlling the wire retracting speed constant at this speed for a predetermined duration of time, then stopping the backward retraction of the welding wire, and then terminating a welding power output after supplying a predetermined amount of welding current for a predetermined duration of time starting from a time when opening of the shorting occurs during the backward retraction of the welding wire.

Arc welding method and arc welding apparatus

An arc welding method relates to consumable electrode arc welding in which a welding wire feeding rate suitable for a welding current is determined as an average feeding rate, and the short circuit state and the arc generation state are alternately generated by changing the wire feeding periodically and repeatedly between the forward feeding and the reverse feeding. The method offers arc welding with the average feeding rate according to a welding current, a predetermined frequency, and a predetermined velocity amplitude. In the method, at least any one of the frequency and the velocity amplitude is set to a value suitable for the welding current.

In a method for controlling pulse arc welding where an arc is created between a wire and a base material, a pulse waveform different from the pulse waveform for steady-state welding is outputted when a predetermined time has passed since short-circuit welding control was started at arc start, and after a sufficiently large melt pool is formed, the pulse waveform for the steady-state welding is outputted. This reduces the generation of spatters after an arc is created and until the arc is stabilized.
