A wire harness manufacturing system includes a display unit, a wire cutting machine that draws an electric wire from a wire feed reel and cuts the electric wire to a predetermined length, a control unit that directs the display unit to display a wire laying image and wire work identification information for identifying a work regarding each electric wire, the wire laying image including a plurality of wire images showing the plurality of electric wire in the laid state and the wire work identification information being displayed in the vicinity of the corresponding wire image, and a memory unit that stores the wire laying image and work instruction information so as to correspond to the wire work identification information, the work instruction information including cut length of the electric wire. The control unit sends the cut length information to the wire cutting machine.

In an electric control apparatus for a four-wheel steering system including an electric motor the rotary angle of which is electrically controlled in accordance with a target steering angle of rear road wheels, and a hydro-mechanical tracer mechanism having a fluid control valve the valve element of which is drivingly connected to the electric motor to be displaced in proportion to the rotary angle of the electric motor, the tracer mechanism being arranged to steer the rear road wheels in proportion to a displacement amount of the valve element, the target steering angle is converted into a control value for rotation of the electric motor, and a drive signal indicative of the control value is applied to the electric motor. The electric control apparatus is designed to greatly change the control value to and from zero when the target steering angle is less than a predetermined small angle and to change the control value in proportion to the target steering angle when the target steering angle is more than the predetermined small angle.

Electric control apparatus for four-wheel steering system

An electric control apparatus for a four-wheel steering system is designed to calculate a rear wheel steering angle on a basis of a control rule corresponding with a steering mode selected from a plurality of rear wheel steering modes thereby to steer a set of dirigible rear road wheels at the calculated steering angle. The electric control apparatus is further designed to calculate a difference between new and old steering angles calculated when the selected steering mode has been changed to another one of the steering modes and immediately after change of the selected steering mode, to gradually decreasing an absolute value of the calculated difference at a predetermined time interval, to correct the new steering angle in accordance with the absolute value of the calculated difference until the absolute value becomes zero after change of the selected steering mode and to control an actual steering angle of the rear road wheels in accordance with the corrected new steering angle.

The present invention utilizes a dimmer switch for alternating the lighting direction of a vehicle headlamp, but does so utilizing control apparatus that ensures that only low beam-directed light is emitted by the headlamp when the headlamp is turned ON. The possiblity which might be presented if oncoming traffic is suddenly met with high beam-directed light when an automobile driver turns his headlamps ON is thereby averted.

Apparatus for controlling a vehicle headlamp

This height adjustment system includes: a source of pressurized working fluid; several fluid pressure actuated wheel suspension units, each of which resiliently pushes a one of the wheels of the vehicle downwards with respect to the body thereof, according to the amount of pressurized working fluid supplied to it; a passage means for conducting supply of working fluid from the source to the wheel suspension units; several valve means, provided at intermediate points of the passage means, for controlling flow of working fluid therethrough; and a flow divider means which has an inlet and two outlets, one of the outlets being communicated to a first set of the wheel suspension units for a first set of the wheels of the vehicle and the other of the outlets being communicated to a second disjoint set of the wheel suspension units for a second disjoint set of the wheels of the vehicle. This flow divider is incorporated at an intermediate point of the passage means, provides a branch point of the passage means, and receives supply of pressurized working fluid at its inlet and divides this supply between its two outlets in a ratio which is substantially independent of the pressures at these two outlets. Optionally, this flow divider may be controllable with regard to the ratio in which it divides the fluid input to it through this inlet between these two outlets.

Vehicle height adjustment system providing uniform height control

A bush assembly for vibration control, particularly adapted for use in supporting a suspension arm of an automobile suspension system. The bush assembly includes an inner sleeve which is stationarily supported, and an outer sleeve coaxially encircling the inner sleeve and defining a cylindrical clearance space encircling the inner sleeve. The inner and outer sleeves are both separable into a pair of sleeve sections which meet end to end substantially in a common plane. The clearance space is partly filled with a pair of generally cylindrical, primary impact absorbing members which contact the inner and outer sleeves and are disposed symmetrically with respect to the plane in which the inner and outer sleeves are separable into their respective sections. A generally cylindrical, secondary impact absorbing member is interposed between the two primary impact absorbing members and encircles the inner sleeve. The secondary impact absorbing member is smaller in wall thickness than the primary impact absorbing members and contacts one of the inner and outer sleeves, while it is radially spaced from the other. The secondary impact absorbing member includes a layer of material which is less elastic than the material from which the primary impact absorbing members are formed, and therefore, is generally greater in hardness than the primary impact absorbing members.
